Been trying to follow this thread without spoiling anything visually. Can anyone tell me how the story and lore is?

Btw I read the Engadget review that was removed.

These gifs, hnnnng.

But that is the border of the map , what else they will do there??

Actually, Many A True Nerd did a great video about Fallout: New Vegas recently, and how Obsidian kind of hid the invisible wall with level design and directing the player's focus, or rewarding them with items. Not of games do that, though.

Resistance from Insominac. Such an easy answer to their FPS problem.

Insomniac will hopefully be capitalising on the resurgent success of Ratchet & Clank with a sequel after their Spider-man release, which will most likely become a franchise of its own.

Ugh, I hate that green filter. Far Cry 4 had it too. Just make it dark!

I honestly do not get this. Do you want it to be as dark as you are walking in a forest in the middle of the night?

Doing that creates nothing but frustration. Extreme dark works for games like Resident Evil 7 because it creates tension.

In Horizon you need to spot your enemies from yards away, especially with their lunge attacks. Making it pitch black just leaves you open from sudden attacks you never see coming.

So 20 hours in 32%, I am moving at a snail pace with quests because randomly fighting stuff is so great. So this just happened I found a herd site and noticed
a mountain side with climbable stuff. At the top I see a pearched flying robot! I scan it and see it has a freeze canister so I take out my tear arrows and aim for it's belly, boom, I take that out. I then begin my climb up as it starts to come at me. As I reach each level of the mountain I shoot fire arrows at it, then keep climbing as it tries to attack me. I reach the top it's flying at eye level with me, I hit it again and it falls into a stunned state, I then jump from the top down a few levels for a critical from above attack kill. It felt like a movie.

Then I decided to attack the herd below with fire arrows, I hit their flammable canisters and they all started to blow up in an amazing chain reaction. This alerts some corrupt scrapers, so I jump from the ledge and go slow mo in the air with my arrows hitting it's weak point and then rushing in for a melee kill. It was a series of events that made me feel like such a badass hunter.

I have to advance the story further, I haven't had a new weapon in hours.

Are you not going on the vendors? Should have a few weapons by now to purchase.

35 years old here, absolutely pumped for this. Counting down the days!
36 here...the guy that mentioned the generation thing is right. We grew up with this stuff. It's a part of lots of people in this age group.

I no longer play anything and everything, by choice and lack of time, but I'm pretty sure at least trying out these "must play" games (like this is shaping up to be) will be something I do forever.

I'm taking the 2nd and 3rd off from work, mostly for Switch/Zelda, but it'll also give me more time with this game. And why do I get the feeling I'll be spending most of that Thursday in Photo Mode and not making any actual progress in the game?

Last weeks Glixel podcast with John Davison (former 1up Yours alum) was super positive on the game and really wanted to get into the story due to who wrote it.

It's strange that at 36 years young I'm super hyped for horizon. These Gifs are amazing. IMO this game goin be HUGE...

12 years old here and I'll be getting this day 1!!

Cool to know that younger people are eager to play games likes this one.
