That's not as far fetched though. Animals eat sand and rocks to help digestion. It helps physically grinding plant cells that most animals can't digest on their own. Also for bowel movement as it is essentially the same as fiber - fluff that can't get digested.

I can see them countering with "but why do we always see the exact same side of it then???"


They just need to travel to the other hemisphere or even just the equator. The side of the moon is still the same but you can see that the moon is flipped. Which would not happen on a flat earth.

And I mean really think about it. It would be such a grand conspiracy. It would go back hundreds of years. Every nation in the world would be in on it and they would continue to go with the lie just for the lolz basically. I wish I lived in a world where the nations of this world worked together like that.
