Reviews point to a good narrative, albeit linear, a lack of character customization, and still quite a few bugs. I was reading a review and saw the reviewer uploaded this screenshot a few minutes ago:
10 percent below zero chance to hit. BELOW ZERO chance. Really. One archer, against 5 vikings. It takes ten+ rounds to kill one. I want to love this game so much, but then stuff like this occurs...

only quest i actually have remaining is the one that i'm guessing requires you to have 100% unit data and i don't know where the 12% remaining is

RB works in the menus of Dark Souls 3 but in-game I can't light attack unless I hit it coming out of a menu.....anyone know of a fix?
And, despite all these points, I love the beauty of Python. ^^It's 2,000 lines of Python. The database backend is SQLite, although it's really at the point that I should be migrating it to something a little beefier. It does run on Linux. The code is in pretty rough shape (although I just rewrote the moderation side a few weeks ago and that side is awesome right now).

Here you can see several bad coding habits:
- Editor set to 8-space tabs, when it should be at most 4-space tabs
- Tons of unspecified try-except rather than actually trying to capture specific errors
- camelCase variable names, which is against Python PEP8 spec (but I prefer them)
- Very lazy character encoding handling

this problem is easily solved by taking on community approved puzzles, unless community is dead already, I finished with a game long ago, so not sure, but that thread should still be on

Ran into this as well, I just quit and restarted to fix it. Noticed that it only seemed to happen if I alt+tabbed out a few times.

so just another of these with great potential but needed slightly more time in the oven ...
altghough its weird to see such review when the game is only 8 hours in v1.0 (the guy played 7 hourse straign since v1.0 launch??? , will probablky wait for more reviews of post-EA version)
BTW: they plan Frankish storyline for early May and Frisian storylinefor early June

The fuck is up with the voice acting in Thimbleweed park, it's like MST3K level east European accents. And good god the humor is grating up to the coroner at least. Hope I don't regret this purchase.

i got 2 new enemies just loading up random chapters and killing random stuff, but still 89% :T

i have like 10 endings at best?
i haven't finished all quests, just all individual quests. i've got a lot of 31/33 or 22/24 shared quests but i have no idea what that means cos when i load up those chapters there's no indicator of anything...
i really exhausted all the ideas i've had to avoid checking out a guide, i'm cool with most endings being hard to find but i've got a lot of unanswered questions:
- i heard u can fight the rabbit in the park? how? i tried attacking with all i had and hacking it i tried it with 9s and a2 and 2b too i think and nothing
- still can't enter the doors with the apologetic robots
- found a hidden area inside of some water pipe but there's a locked door there too so...
- no idea about the super blacksmith or whatever, so all my weapons are stuck at lvl 3
- i keep finding the nuclear weapons book thing but i already gave it to pascal and he was like nahhh, but when i try to give it to the commander she doesn't even acknowledge it...
- still can't enter the doors with the apologetic robots

You can hack it, but only as a machine. Have 9S remote control a machine and then hack the rabbit.
From the Forest Throne Room save spot go right and jump to the ledge beneath you. There's a box on your left that you need to pull out of the way and the door to the blacksmith is behind it.

All this talk about programming reminds me that I'm sitting on my OpenGL C++ project and can't even properly implement objects selection with GL_SELECT render mode =/ I've always wanted to be in gaming industry, but programming is just not my thing, it takes to much time to learn and do all that stuff for me. Coding is not my thing, I'm more about writing and overall design, but it's impossible to find open positions in those fields in my region.
I think most of traders and removed games collectors knows all those details, but i saw that a lot people here on NeoGAF don't have a clue what's going on with all those endless assets flips.
About games. It seems Bethesda added a lot content in Fallout Shelter since last time i played it. I think i'm going to play it a lot since they've also added Steam achievements. Also, i played Nier for 14 hours already and still didn't got any ending beside that T joke ending. Probably because i couldn't help myself and still doing sidequests, don't know why -_- Maybe because combat is too good
Because those developers are making normal games that supposed to be sold in steam store and played for real, while "games" i was talking about aiming to get as much activations on bot farms as possible and not supposed to be played. This is different cases and while i was saying that some "developers" are getting most of their profits from cards that doesn't automatically means that this is true for every dev around Steam. I just tried to gave more insight about those "scam projects" that Jim hates so much and why those "games" exists in first place.

Ending y is worth doing and tied to a sidequest.
the doors with the robots are a secret you can't open. Saito tweeted that soon they're going to unveil what they are about. My guess is dlc.
The smith is in the forest castle, there's a broken bridge right before the throne room. Jump down and land on the left ledge underneath it.

Didn't work for me and I didn't alt tab out at all, never ran into this before and a full pc restart didn't fix it either :/ It works in the menus, how is this happening!

i bet it would've make a pretty big difference to be able to naturally upgrade weapons instead of doing it at the end
i feel like i'm lately very bad at videogames in a way that i didn't use to be. might be due to my poor mental state lately but i never missed these kinds of things before.
anyways, idk how to trigger that ending y thing, maybe i'll look into it

it's been a tricky one since i feel like i get pretty bad kneejerk reactions but later on i kind of change my mind on a lot of things. it's definitely not a the witness case of me going from "hey this game is really frustrating and kind of making me sick" to literally taking over my thoughts for over a year, but i feel like i warm up to nier 2 the more i take my time thinking about it
will post some thought-out thoughts later!

I've almost bought this one a couple of times but I read some reviews that suggested it was more of a linear educational game than hardcore strategy so I passed.
So when is Silent Steel coming to steam, the greatest FMV game of all time.

I personally always recommend vanilla. It's the STALKER everyone should experience imo.

I played it for 15 minutes a year ago and I remember the graphics being pretty rough on the eyes lol maybe going in a different mindset may help?

I always preferred vanilla version over mods, because most mods usually breaks some of game elements while fixing other things. Maybe some there is some graphics-only mods but i don't know about them, except graphics this game is still great, i replayed it again few months ago and it's still holds up well.

Looking through the "Sterling, TB and others visit Valve thread" and I wonder if people claiming "Steam is drowning in garbage!!!" actually use Steam or just repeat what someone else say or make this a disguised PC vs. console.
And I wonder how Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony would view tougher curation on Steam when it would like get harder for them to find the really good indies to promote. That's at least the impression I get often.

I'm sure many here would agree with my use case that Steam covers much of my games playing time, which isn't insubstantial and if it weren't for these things being brought up by a subset of the games press I wouldn't even notice this stuff in the first place.
And if you do get burned there is always the refund system.
Would I like to see Steam get rid of obvious shovelware? Sure.
Does it affect me? No.
Could such a measure cut off games I care about? Yeah.
This topic is far more relevant to concerns of smaller devs and the issue of discoverability but that's not the conversation that's happening here.
