With the countdown site a PC port of the first game makes the most sense.
Otherwise anything this close to April 1st without an announcement would be a super troll. Which would be fascinating to see.

not that low selling....bayo 1 did decent numbers for a new IP,in fact it went better than DmC if i remember correctly..or at least not that far from it...something alike 1.2 mln worldwide,not excellent,but not a flop
bayo 2 went really bas,but it was on a dead console owned mostly by people that only buy nintendo games.

To be honest the only way I see Bayo 3 happening is probably Nintendo. I'd buy another 1&2 pack on the Switch. If they made a Bayo trilogy Switch set I'd be all over it as well.

Do we know for certain no one else wanted to publish it? Could be a case where Nintendo just had the most lucrative offer. As an example SFV was actually brought up with MS apparently, but they decided agaisnt it for their own KI.

If Capcom were smart they'd be working on a proper return to form as DMC5 - but I have little trust in Capcom nowadays. But hey - they did finally port Dragons Dogma to PC which was a great move so who knows.
Well, they did just put out RE7. I feel...ever so slightly better about Capcom right now than I did a year ago
Once again: that game should have came to PC from the get go, otherwise, it would be alive right now.
Well, plenty of these folks may not own consoles.

Absolutely right. Capcom are sitting on their own balls less and less so I really hope whatever they do with Devil May Cry, if anything, turns out amazing.

I cant even get hype for MvC:I, I just know Capcom gonna screw it up somehow.

I hope they do a console release based on the PC one like they did with Valkyria Chronicles as well. Bayonetta 1 is one of the best games I have ever played and deserves to be on as many platforms as possible. One of those games that genuinely just feels so good to play. This is pretty obviously building up to a PC port and it's about damn time. Total no-brainer of a game to bring over.
People asking for Bayonetta 2 to be ported to anything other than Switch though... lol

Bayonetta 2 had a worse story and the only stand out things was the better Star Fox mission and the more varied Bloody Tower equivalent. The story was hugely shit and skippable compared to Bayo 1's actual character building and emotional highs, and the huge AoE witch weave attacks you got were lame. Oh and all the "flying" bosses in Bayo 2 were total shit. Big letdown game tbh (Saito is the special sauce).

I'd be down for owning another copy of Bayonetta 1, I'm just glad we'd be getting another PC port...fingers crossed.
I own Bayonetta and Vanquish on PS3. I actually own Bayonetta twice, my disc cracked, bought it on PSN.
I'd buy them again on Steam without a second thought.

Good god that would be so delicious I would dine on that for all eternity.
I'd agree that Bayo 1 is a better game than 2, but 2's environmental variety, enemy variety, and general color scheme puts it on par with 1 for me. Love some of the weapons as well, although they vary in terms of their usefulness.

Nintendo owns large portions of Bayonetta 2 directly. There is no way it will ever release outside of a Nintendo console unless Nintendo sells their rights to the game (which they won't).
For example, all Bayonetta 2 content in Smash Bros is a shared copy write between Nintendo, Sega and Platinum according to the game.
A nintendo fan hurt them, it's a long story.
