I'm a little hesitant because I didn't like the witness so much. I hope it's not the same.
Solving puzzles and exploring. No combat from what I gather.
I don't know about direct combat but I saw a video where it looks likeyou outrun an enemy.
Thank god it's not like The Witness at all.Is this like the witness?
switch day one..
Probably going to get it on PS4 for that reason - when is it out?
Also very stoked, OP - but the OT will be going up in the next 24-48 hours
Folks, it's still got a pre-release discount of 10% on PSN (not sure about steam, other platforms)
Do you work for the developers op? /s
Looks good, probably getting the switch version.
I guess you can't die in the game, or is there any sort of health bar. Its okay, think its suppose to be more of an atmospheric type game.

The story of RiME is told through visual queues in-game. If you spend the time to discover all of the mysteries hidden on The Island you'll be given more about the story.
I shall, thanks! Is there a map system or anything?
how much worse is the switch ver compared to ps4?
Is this like the witness?
Is this 60FPS on PS4/Pro? I'd rather get it there for a physical copy if so, otherwise I'll get it on Steam.
We're still optimizing RiME for the Switch version. We will be able to share the specifics of the performance on Switch as soon as we have that information available.

Looks like 30-40 fps based off dev comments. Which is weird.
Eh......hmm......Keep in mind, most $60 games have like 3 hour campaigns. The fact this is $30 for 10 hours is a steal.
Am I weird for liking the warmer look of the Switch version more than the PS4 one?

Are we sure those are different console version shots? It looks more like older build versus final build, given how the architecture and tree seem to be more detailed on the right sideAm I weird for liking the warmer look of the Switch version more than the PS4 one?

I took screenshots from both the "RiME - Reveal Trailer" at the Playstation Youtube channel and the "Nyanha Nya! Cat Mario Time Nyandies Special" from Nintendo's official Japanese Youtube channel. I have no idea why the PS4 trailer looks washed out but the lighting is probably due to difference in time of day. I didn't even realise till I placed both screenshots side by side. There is nothing disingenuous about this. The footage from the Nyandies special looks to be the Switch version. It's resolution, texture quality and some assets look pared back compared to the PS4 version. This is more noticeable in motion.
