Where is my free car? 100 characters at launch or Harada is lazy. And if I don't get bowling, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and hacky-sack in my fighting games at launch I will be disappointed.

you're either trying to subtly mock the legitimate complaints in this thread or an incredibly entitled individual who has never had to work in their life. I'm going to go with the former.

All this e-penis talk about which has more content, which has better gameplay, better animations, more competitive community...just sucks. XD

Here I am, playing Injustice 2 (AI fights :p), waiting to download the Street Fighter V update, preload Tekken 7 Deluxe tomorrow, ordered the limited edition Blazblue Central Fiction which Amazon has at $41....I just love the genre.

And then come here and is all about who has the biggest e-penis. "MY fighter has better animation, MY fighter has better gameplay, MY fighter has more stuff to do"...meh!

And yet, I am not hardcore. XD

Can't wait to remove all clothes to the male characters this Friday on Tekken 7. :p

You better be there when Gundam Versus launches. 90+ Units in the game from the start, but can't promise anything singleplayer. I would even expect less than Tekken. XD

Yeah judging TTT2 and Harada and Murray's comments, we're getting some stuff but it hasn't been said or "officially confirmed" yet so we'll have to wait until they officially announce it.

As for that MVCI news, geez. No comments.

Looking forward to Tekken Talk then. Really hope Tekkens Mishima saga goes out with a bang with Tekken 7, so it's a little bit disappointing to see the lack of extra content.

Can't wait to equip Dragunov with a shower head and Akuma with a gun.

Still sad to see fighting game communities always bringing down or wanting other fighters to fail. Rising tide raises all ships, even though I'm not a Tekken guy I still have high hopes and will be there day 1 to support it.

"It's not enough to succeed. Others must fail."

Please. It was about using what was going on in this thread to paint the casual audience, the same audience that originally took issue with SFV, as frivolous and crazy. As if Tekken was surely going to get the same ratings on Amazon and Steam as SFV for a few missteps. You even had sixteen bit walk up in here and go "sfv backlash incoming?"

Pretty rich considering your thread is a constant dumpster fire of complaints.

Damn.

I'm not even gonna talk about what went on there, that's some high school shit. Just, that's childish. To the SFV/T7 thing though I mean it's not really comparable.

Either way what I'm looking forward to is that Tekken Talk because if TTT2 was any example, given Harada's shots at their post-release content, then T7's post-release is crazy.

Akuma with a gun is just some wild stuff. That SnH-infused bullet WHILE he's wearing that Bullet Club shirt!

Definitely poking fun at the swing of the conversation the past few pages. I love the extras we get in most of the titles. But the series is about the fighting. No one is playing MK so they can play the Kart racing or chess mini game. We tend to pick what is most important with whatever we are talking about, instead of looking at what is being provided.

I also clearly laid out this title's planned course of support beyond Friday, and it was glossed over in hilarious fashion and the conversation continued as if what we get Friday is it. Which is hilarious and at the same time ridiculous.

Few questions:

1. Does T7 do what TTT2 did in shaving off the NPC's from stages during online to improve netplay?

2. When Playing online do you have the ability to choose your side or is it already chosen for you?

3. Is there any info on how PS3 legacy stick connectivity will work? Is it like MKX/SFV where you have to map the stick to a Dual Shock 4 or is it like SkullGirls/GGXrd where it's just plug and play? (Please be like GGXrdRev)

1 - all the stages online I played had no npcs
2 - i think it is choosen for you. Before character select you can choose left or right then the host takes preference.
3 - don' know anything about that. Sorry.

That's fine and dandy. But players have every right to complain about content that is lacking that they feel should be included. Some are miffed that the long development time which brought in huge expectations on what to expect only offered barebone character episodes, a story mode that is lackluster, modes that were a staple that are no longer there. What does the DLC even entail and the season pass. That's literally the gist of our complaints.

This isn't a riot or anything, but a collective sum up of some gripes players have. To pretend they don't exist or to sarcastically create false claims that we've made only silence what we are trying to do, which is simply make the game better and the best it can be. It's only when they hear our complains can they change and make it better.

As a tekken fan since Tekken 1, I only want the best for my 3d brawler.

If that isn't good value I give up.

I think the complain is that Tekken 7, for a game that actually ends the long running story, doesn't blow it's predecessors out of the water. More so having actually less than expected.
So actually it's just a little bit of disappointment of it not meeting the (realistic)expectations, based on prior games.
It's understandable, but no reason to go ballistic on either side though.

Does anyone know if the MadCatz TE2+ Arcade Stick for PS4 works on PC? I remember trying it once with Killer Instinct (a Microsoft store exclusive) and it didn't work at all. If anyone could confirm whether it works with Steam games then that would be very nice. It's the only thing stopping me from getting the PC version.

There are drivers for the PS4 te2+ that can convert the controller into Xinput if the game needs it. Otherwise, it'll read like any other ps4 controller as dinput.

It works on PC, but the game needs to support DInput or you need to use a wrapper like x360ce or XOutput. If you want something that works 100%, then find a stick with XInput support. The easiest is buying an Xbox 360 stick.

There's actually a driver for xinput for all TE2s.

Go here, select the model you have.

Works native for everything (except KI, maybe...I haven't tried that), but you do have to choose "Xinput" in the icon tray in windows.

A little arcade stick will show up there once you install the driver.

IIRC I couldn't get that to work with KI, but XOutput worked.
It's been a while though, and I am not about to download 50 GB to test it out.

Ugh please have native dinput support, I haven't had to worry about Joy2Key in a while. That stuff adds some additional input lag right?

If the netcode is bad and/or there isn't native support for my stick I might just refund the game. Thats why I bought it direct from Steam instead of a key reseller.

Well congratulations! You got yourself caught!
You asked for SarusGray's bullet points to be posted as an official summary for the OT. I don't think that is sensible.

This?

Sadly, this can be the bullet-point summary in the OT...

I asked nothing of the sort(its not even a question or a request!) but was alluding agreement with his separate argument. Context went over your head.

Is there any PC vs console comparisons out yet?

Thinking of buying this on XB1 digitally to have it on Scorpio later on and because you get Tekken 6 for free (according to Xbox store). But not if the PC version is a lot better.

Still debating what version to get on steam, I like customization but I still don't know if those metallic parts are worthy to pay the extra money for.

So do I go pick up tekken 7 for full price right now or wait a few days and get it at best best for $20?

Decisions. Decisions.
How long is Tekken 6 included on XB1? That'll form my decision. It only said that it was a limited time offer on Xbox store.

I hadn't read this before.

Harada said:
So it’s always difficult because we can’t just go and include every character that we’ve ever put in the game, because there’s way too many characters to do that and the game balance would suffer, in other areas of the game as well. And at the same time, we have a lot of very cool new characters that we introduce each time.

Sure Harada, of course you can't put every character in, but leaving out the Changs and Lei is like leaving out Blanka and Dhalsim from SF. Like you could do it, but don't be surprised when you get a ton of shit for it.

It seems likely that they'll be back in with the free DLC, unless Harada is delusional and really thinks no one cares about 20-year veterans of the series. I just wish they would tell us which classics are coming back before launch date so I know whether to buy now and support Tekken, or wait until all the info comes out.

Harada said:
But then, after that, it was kind of hard to find a new martial art that people have heard of and have some kind of rough idea of what it is, so that there was enough interest and understanding there to include it in the game. So that’s why 6 and 7 and later on, it’s more focused on the character concept, and that kind of thing. There are still martial arts out there, it’s just that – y’know, many people mention Krav Maga or Silat or something like that - but it’s not major enough that people would have an idea what the movement looks like, so it is kind of tough to place that same emphasis on the martial arts and recreating them in the game.

Now I understand why most of the new characters are rather boring from a style POV. But I don't get why Harada thinks people need to know what a fighting style is before they'll consider it for the game. When most people watch Ip Man they don't care if it's Wing Chun or something else, they just think it looks cool.

p.s. why the hell do we still not have a Wing Chun fighter in Tekken :/

Yeah, KI is weird. I wonder if it's a W10 thing?

None of my TEs work, the Panthera doesn't work. The only sticks I can get to work are those with PS360, toodles boards, or X360 sticks.

Guy needs to step down and get someone fresh in. Maybe NB would be more willing to fund something from someone with more passion and new ideas while retaining what once was...?

People heavily shat on the DLC announcement in January so much that Murray, Harada and even the Tekken twitter not only had to constantly post in defense of it on social media but they had to address why they've had DLC in numerous interviews since then. Murray even said he's done talking about issues like this on social media due to the backlash they've received from it.

Announcing more info on DLC after that before the game's released would be further backlash. That's the reason that we have a Tekken Talk on release day.

Yall need to cut this crap out about anyone working on the game not having passion. They do have passion for it, it's just not what you want to hear. That's very disrespectful to them. Harada talks so much about the game it's clear he has tons of passion for it. Just because you don't like what he's saying doesn't mean he doesn't have passion for it, he's been working on this game for decades.

calm down you act like we insulted his mother. I don't think Harada is quite done yet. The problem is, you will get shat, no matter what, but own up to it. If you're offering DLC, tell us what it is, no half answers. Don't go mute on DLC, it further distances your playerbase. Expect criticism regardless, no release has ever been perfect.

Calm down? Who's mad? I just said that's a ridiculous comment to say they don't have passion for the series due to them doing something people don't like.

The fact is from a business perspective, it makes most sense to have announcements for DLC post-release rather than reveal everything pre-release. If you blow your load on DLC announcements pre-release then everything you mention afterwards is info already known. That's common sense. It's not that they're completely going mute, you have to keep the information rolling and spread it out rather than showing your entire hand at once. Once the game's out they can hit the DLC info but pre-game release talking all about your DLC plans isn't a smart move. That's why they only revealed pieces of it.

They had an Eddy Gordo reveal and now complete radio silence.

That's a shame about the backlash they've gotten. I never had a problem with DLC when Harada said "expect normal Tekken stuff" in the base game; I thought we were all good. I don't even have a problem with the free DLC dribble approach necessarily (though if those chars end up not getting a story or ending or customizations, that would be a shame). I just want the roadmap for the free DLC so I know what the $60 is buying. All the paid DLC, the guest chars, sure keep a wrap on that. But obviously there's some other factors at play here, which puts those of us hoping for our fave char/mode back in a tough place.

agreed. That's it, and yeah I never saw backlash for DLC, must have flew by me. I thought DLC is a norm in today's game.
