I really wish they'd re-release the first one for PS4. I never got the chance to play it and have heard nothing but wonderful things.

As an owner of the Wizard's Edition for Ni no Kuni, I really wish there was a similar edition for the sequel.

Either way, excited!

I am waiting for the similar edition. It's one of those automatic buys for me.

Super excited.

Might hear about it tonight after the conference.

Didn't quite finish the first and no longer have a PS3 to do so on. Do I need to know stuff from the end before going into this?

Seconding this question. I got to Al-Mamoon(?) I think and then delegated my PS3 to the living room as a bluray player.

If so, I'll have to push this game back for a good year or so.

From what I've seen it is a brand new story in a new time but with the same universe e.g. Ding Dong Dell. Probably be references but I think nothing major.

Well, they are slow right now and in July. August too.

Even during slow summer, there are still great games coming out each months

This month - Tekken 7, Next Machina, Crash N. Sane Trilogy

July - FFXII, Fortnite

August- Hellblade, Uncharted:TLL, Sonic Mania, Yukuza Kiwami

September onward: batshit insanity starts

And this is just the PS4. I try to ignore my 3DS and Switch for now.

I hope they bring the first Ni No Kuni to PS4. I need to finish it.

No Studio Ghibli this time I'm afraid :(

but a former Ghibli artist Yoshiyuki Momoseis doing character design.

Darn it :(

But I expect the game to look great regardless, Level-5 has never disappointed me in that regard
barring Yokai Watch

Thanks for the heads up! Now all I need to do is finish the games I have on hand.

I really hope the combat is better in this game. It didn't quite work for me in the first, I'd like it if they either went full turn-based or more of an ARPG this go around.

The hits just have NOT stopped since 2015. This gen is unimaginably good, really a golden age. Definitely a perfect game to cozy up with this fall, loved the first game and double dipped to get the steel book and the CE back then.

Looking forward to this.

I only have uncharted, Shadows of War, Assassin's Creed and now this for the rest of the year. It's a quiet year for me this Christmas.

It could very well change.
