Are Directs really that big?
I have the feeling that only nintendo fans are watching Directs. I don't think this is a good marketing strategy but maybe I'm wrong.

Depends how you look at it. It's Nintendo fans, but also the industry. Meaning the news trickles out everywhere. I'll say this, Mario Odyssey is their biggest game for a while. Mario games always are. So announcements they might make for games early next year will be more for fans than for grabbing the average consumer who hears about the new Mario in the newspaper (because E3's got dat reach).

It's like having a musical artist who puts out random songs throughout the year. They aren't albums, but they keep their name in the air, keeps them relevant.

I just want to see gameplay of No more Heroes.

It sounded like the dude hadn't even started it at the January conference.

Pretty excited for this one, it's been a decent E3 so far but Nintendo can definitely grab the headlines.

Expecting to see Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Kingdom Battle. Hoping for Pikmin 4, the next Retro game (ie DKCR3) and something from Platinum. Probably a few Wii U ports as well, guessing Smash Bros and Mario Maker.

Then tuning in for some Treehouse action! :D

I hope they leave Splatoon, ARMS, Rabbids and Zelda DLC out of the Spotlight. After this underwhelming E3, I need Nintendo to drop some bombs.

Give me Bayonetta 3 and REmake 2!

Gatorade Get Hyped Moment Of The Show: Animal Crossing

I'm gonna be honest, I don't like Splatoon 2 enough to have more than 3 minutes of video. I definitely liked what I played in the Wii U testfire but I never bought the game because of how online heavy the gameplay is and the restriction of maps they give you.

I really hope they won't have Splatoon2 and Arms in the spotlight, not because I don't look forward to those games, but because we already have seen a lot of them, played them even, and I really wish they focus the 25 minutes om showing new stuff and more of games we have seen really little of.

They can show arms and splatoon during the treehouse sessions.

Should have bought it. Single player alone is worth it.

Metroid Party - Join Samus, Ridley, Space Pirate no. 27, Kraid, Mother Brain and Baby Metroid for a party experience like no other. Move your pieces around the Zebes themes virtual gameboard, taking on your opponents in over 30 different and all-new mini-games. Fun for all the family. Rated F for "fuck you".

A sequel was in development for the N64 DD but it got cancelled.
Someone allegedly found a cartridge a while back though, but I'm not sure if it was legitimate. I remember a thread about it.

This is the first year I am paying attention to Nintendo. What is Treehouse?
Nintendo tree house is the name of the localization team. Treehouse live is an e3 stream they've been doing after the presentation for a few e3s now where they run a ton of livestreams all week after the main presentation

Apparently someone at 4chan who leaked the entire Switch Library and was correct, posted this about the upcoming conference:

Super Mario Odyssey, November 24th
– Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Trailer, game delayed to Spring 2018
– New IP from Next Level Games: ”Mystery of the Clocktower" (Working Title), 2018
– Fire Emblem Warriors Trailer, features 2 player splitscreen, October 13th
– Short Teaser for Fire Emblem Switch (still no official title), 2018
– Shin Megami Tensei V Trailer, 2018
– Nintendo Party revealed, party game with Miis, probably developed by Nd Cube (?), October 27th
– Mario & Sonic at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games revealed, November 10th
– Third Party reel, I wasn't able to note down all the games in it, but it featured Skyrim, Dragonball Xenoverse (2?), Dragon Quest Builders, Fifa, Steep and Mario + Rabbids.
– Super Mario Maker 2 revealed, 2018
– Reminder that ARMS launches on Friday
– Splatoon 2 Direct announced, late June
– New Retro Studios Project revealed (no title yet), about Pirates, 2018

If this isn't bullshit, that would be a pretty solid line up. Releasing Mario on Black Friday does seem fishy though.

I just want them to announce a firmware update to open up VC and a Smash Bros Deluxe. If not, I should just trade it for a new video card.
