Damn some of you guys must have gotten lucky with stock. I had to watch out buying multiples of the same game so I didn't hit the 4 sku limit and because some games were only in stock at 1 location. Didn't want to buy say all the pokemon stock only to need it later at another location to hit even 3 games. Also had to avoid buying the same games that I was also trading in.

Some stores had 12+ profitable games around here, others only had one or two. I'm strongly considering hitting up the exact same stores tomorrow and buying the games I just traded in, lol

Welp, I've never done anything like this before, but turned $96 dollars today into $560. I walked away with a PS VR, Batman VR, Rush of Blood, some toys for the kids and still have $50 or so in credit.
It feels crazy and exciting to basically have money materialize out of thin air like this. Excited to try VR for the first time tonight!

I think some of my stores may have had that but I was also trading some of those same games from the previous store lol. With that said I did get fairly lucky finding so many switch games. And I'm pretty sure I traded all of the Zelda switch stock in the area myself lol.

Could I just start by trading in my copy of Majora's Mask 3DS and Smash 3DS? I checked and that's an 88 dollar value, and could make some money back if I buy a Pro card - getting close to 80 dollars. Could throw AlphaSaphire and OmegaRuby in too, hmm...
If so, hopefully, I have the time to do so tomorrow / and my GameStop's hasn't caught on.
I remember last time I tried to take advantage of something due to GAF (I think it was when Sears was selling Wii Us for 60 dollars and people were price matching)... some stores knew what was going on.

You want to be able to buy at least four $40-50 (3DS cheaper obviously) with your original credit (you will get two games free for a total of six). If you don't have enough you'll just have to pay cash the old fashioned way, but after that you won't need to spend money.
Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but did you check the loose 3DS section, the ones without cases? at my local stores they are loaded with 3DS games, 5+ copies of Pokemon Sun, 5+ of Moon, multiple Smash Bros, Xenoblade, Fire Emblem games, etc. The case doesn't matter if you are just trading it back in

Yes, you have to look at the game cases on display, in any loose display cases they have, and you can ALSO ask them if they have X game you didn't find because they might have it in a drawer somewhere.

Get the power up rewards if your total trade-in is worth at least $150. The 10% bonus will PAY for the PUR pro membership, and said membership will make the b2g1 games cheaper to buy and worth more whem you flip them. You're shorting yourself 20% on each b2g1 flip if you dont have PURpro.
Unless you dont intend to buy more used games and flip them. To which I would ask... uhm, why?

What are you guys planning on using your PowerUp rewards for? I see they have the $50 online for 50k but you can't buy codes with it. They now have $10 psn and xbone credit for 11.5k which seems ok if you want digital stuff. Not sure. Right now I have 40k but today's bounty hasn't kicked in yet.

I found out later today when I went out to get one last run going. So it wasnt at the start of the day. I'm pretty sure I traded in 4 copies of Pokemon Sun total throughout the course of all this.
I'm sure the people who actually managed to hit the $2000 mark are those that completely maximized their profit. They traded in $2000 worth of stuff and managed to get all the right games to walk out with $2000 worth of credit.

I don't have the time or energy for a trade flip or finding the best values. I just wanna dump all these for about the same that I would get selling here or on amazon. Can you buy credit for xbox or steam with this in store credit? I forgot the 2-1 used was going on I might find something good but doubt it in my area.

If you get enough from your games to hit $150 just get the PURpro. It would be free at that point, even if you dont flip anything, in case any used games come along this year you want. And with the tons of 3DS games worth decent $$, you could easily turn your initial trade into over $300 with just ONE 6-game flip, which would be almost enough to buy you a console, or more than enougb for a Switch (I know, also a console).
Make sure they put the store credit on a gift card. Then you can use it to buy XboxLive, PSN, or Steam credit.
At $150 base trade value it pays for itself and makes you money.
2 for 1 going on online.

I'm a little nervous about going to the same store I went to yesterday but options are limited round these parts lol. I'll probably just buy 6, trade 6 at all 5 stores and see how far that gets me.
As far as the trade limit goes, I'm sure it's been asked and answered 100 times but does it only count the total amount I get from the store? So, like today I got like 430 from 1 store, used 100 to buy a few games, and traded that in for 125 from another. Does that mean I'm at 555/2k limit?

Traded in my Xbox one original and a ton of games for that and the 3ds and got $288. Bought a ps4 slim and three games I can say I'm petty happy. Even though going digital is more convient, I'm just going to stick to physical games just incase this happens again in the future.

I am a little nervous except one store that was so busy I know they don't remember me. I may just recruit my brother and get him a PUR account. We can go to the last store I traded all my games in and he can repurchase them. Then we can trade them in at another store and I will have the value on two trade in cards and spread the trade ins across two accounts. Been thinking of getting my mom in on the action lol
