Sure, but being thorough isn't bad. It's not something that should be stigmatized as undesirable. Reminds me of Idiocracy. I myself have pointed out most of the details on that chart across various threads.
Plus I'm a behavior therapist that works with kids with autism.

Just read on Sonic Retro that a Sonic Mania pixel artist (Midio) posted on Twitter screenshots of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles running through Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Flying Battery respectively - then he posted one of Knuckles through Hydrocity then promptly removed the image. Hydrocity confirmed?

Blaze is objectively the best of Sonic's friends after Tails and Knuckles. I would love to see her drawn in the classic Sonic style.

The most realistic character we'd see if any would be Amy probably with some elements of her moveset from the advance games.

Awww shiiit. Hydrocity leak? Awesome! I'd love a Chaotix stage just for the music.
I'd love to see Shadow, Rogue, and the Chaotix crew in! Rogue and Shadow would work as sonic and Knuckles clones, and the chaotix guys could probably work with a little bit of tweaking. Charmy could just fly for longer than Tails
I'm glad I'm not the only one! The act 2s of the retro stages are all great, id love to see something wild for oil ocean

The OG Chaotix characters would be great
He should either run on foot (faster than Sonic) or drive his eggmobile (fly short distance, as fast as Sonic)
They mentioned being interested in a physical release but the lack of any news on it since then leads me to believe there's no way there'll be one at launch. Maybe down the line sometime if it sells well digitally.

Amy, spinning hammer attack deminates bosses in the Advance trilogy and all of those romhacks that make her playable
It's also fun seeing how high you'll be launched upon landing on enemies, springs and boxes with that move

Yes. Oh my god. I need this to be legit for the music alone. Dimension Heist nearly killed me, not sure I could handle a Tee Lopes remix of Hydrocity Act 2.

This is the best looking 2D Sonic game, right?
Hydrocity would be an interesting pick, because it's one of the stages in Sonic 3 & Knuckles where act 1 and act 2 are more differentiated (unlike Flying Battery, the other known pick so far for Mania). Not only music-wise, but also in gameplay and graphics.
Would they respect those variations in both act 1 and 2? (Thus not making any re-imaging of their own) Would they pick act 2 only (which is more beloved in general) and re-imagine act 1?

Lopes already made a Hydrocity Act 2 remix back in 2009. Needless to say, he's gotten all the better since.

Hydrocity makes perfect sense, really, as it is without a doubt the stand-out Sonic 3 level that isn't seemingly tied up with the Michael Jackson estate stuff. Ice Cap is the obvious #1 choice, but that has the music problems... and honestly, Hydrocity is a more interesting level anyway. Though - I'm curious to see what Mania brings to the table, as the bouncing and going real high antics in Chemical Plant when paired with the pipe layout of that level really reminds me of Hydrocity, so I'm keen to see how they differentiate.
Is it just me or Hydrocity Zone is pretty much the only water level in any game that I like. Aquatic Ruin, Labyrinth, Carnival Night, etc. All annoy me on some level. Hydrocity is a goddamn water slide at 100 mph.

Hydro City would make me super happy. It's got killer music.
I have a soft spot for Labyrinth Zone, but deep down I know full well it is awful. Hydrocity is the least bad water zone, let's just say that much. I think alot of that is due to the fact you can avoid so much water though.
