Well, Phillips was successful eventually regarding the Wii Remote.
That's why I think the Wii Remote will never be coming back.
and Immersion Corporation vs Sony also

A lot of them, actually.obviously this lawsuit only exists because the Switch is sucessful.
how many companies tried to sue Nintendo for anything Wii U related?
Been like clockwork, only fight they basically lost was against Phillips. Even the initial loss concerning the 3DS was overturned in appeals eventually.Has there been a single Gen Nintendo have not been in court for some claim or other? I'm sure they only just won a case they were fighting last gen last year.
damn nintendo is in deep trouble.
What are the chances of this suit being judged in favor of the plaintiff?
Hmm, I don't see it. I feel Wikipad has nothing to stand on.
Not only that, it's not a freaking shell you slide your tablet inside
Unlike the Switch.
Only if you're actively shoving your joycons into the screen from 2 inches away.Very flimsy argument tho.
I don't think modern Nintendo has actually sued anyone in court at this point outside a counter litigation, since DMCA takedowns don't actually involve a lawsuit.Nintendo is one of the most sue-happy companies so if it was their patent they would definitely sue whomever used it but wtf is a Wikipad

It did, and that got settled a few years ago.Does Phillips lawsuit have a thread?

For real, though. We joke about Nintendos ninja lawyers but it's kinda not a joke.
"I think we should sue Nintendo."
Whoever first had this thought at Gamevice should have been laughed out of the room.
I'm kinda curious... has Nintendo ever sued anyone over one their patents?
(not talking about copyright infringement)
According to the suit, the Switch and its removable Joy-Con controllers are too close to Gamevice's vision of a combination of detachable game controller and a device with a "flexible bridge section."
You are probably thinking 3DS.This headline and case remind me of the Wii era. I would say that this is how you know Nintendo is successful these days, but I think Wii U faced similar lawsuits.

i really hate how patents are written. Makes it imposible to read.
