Is this another test? I have the first one on 3ds I think, from what I gathered from this thread part 2 seems pretty decent so might as well give it a try. 40 bucks seems more reasonable for this than sfii

Pretty awesome to see. I hope we get Origins Collection next.

it's capcom. this game has to pass a test first.

you guys already passed the test when sf2 sold well... now 'this' game has to pass it's own test, to make sure the previous test you passed wasn't a fluke when you passed the test.
also, the download only RE:R2 will have an in-game test that you need to also pass, just to make sure you can consistently pass tests.
once that's done you'll be ready for the final test. and you need to pass that test too, but if you don't pass that test, then it doesn't matter that you passed the other tests, because the past tests don't count if you don't pass the next test and prove to capcom that you can pass their tests.

Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
Up now for pre-order on Amazon:

I can't believe they did not fix the weapon animations/cross-hair alignment issues from the wiiu version (if those screenshots are actual).

are there any news on gyro aiming? that is the selling point for me (at least with Rev1 since I already finished it on 3DS)

okay wait,
so I lost interest in this thread because I didn't care for Revelations 1 ( the one with the stupid scanning system) - but this games comes with Rev 2 - which I've played free on PS4
but asked me to buy other episodes.

I wonder if it's worth it for me -hhmm..

Well, you're going to have to pay for it if you want to play Revs 2 in it's entirety.

If I'm not mistaken, both will be available separately from the eshop.

You almost assuredly is paying more to by the episodes separately than to just get this game as a collection on switch

Wow! I missed this bit of news. I'm assuming it will be sold separately from the Revs1?

Yeah, separate retail releases in Japan. Now if only they could confirm the Asia release already.

:(

P.S. Can I play online with the Asian versions with a US Switch. What about the paid online that releases next year?

Will it be the same as on PS4?

Rev 2 is much bigger than 7gb on Steam and psn (23gb)

23 GB ? Maybe this is the reason for Capcom not putting both games on the same card. In order to play this I will need to buy an SD card, because I have less than 22gb available on my Switch. In case the Switch version have this size too.

Until we know the download size of these two, we can't really use that as a gauge. For Example, Rayman Legends keeps getting smaller and smaller with every rerelease.

I'm guessing we'll see these running on Switch at TGS, if not sooner. Heck, maybe we'll see Revelations 3 at TGS as well.

Releasing them this year would make me think October, if only because of Halloween and a general desire to avoid the holiday rush.

But you'd think they'd show something by now if that were the case.

Won't it get desimated by mario odyssey in October?

Hmm. I wonder if Capcom is going to bother making it 100% clear that the second game is download only? Will it be clearly written on the front of the box? Will they just bury a single small line on the back of the box at the very bottom? On the Amazon page it's not clear right away that the second game is download only and not included on the physical card you are purchasing. You have to scroll down to the small product description and see a single line that talks about it.

Man, a portable HD RE4 would be amazing!

How about a Remake?

Those models and textures really need some work on the ps4 version. This can't be milked anymore in the current state.

How many trillion copies have RE4 sold through all platforms? It already paid the development cost and remake cost.

I had a fun time with the second game. The story was interesting and there were scary parts, puzzle solving and some action gun play. For a discounted price, the second game is worth it if you haven't played it.

The first one it a slow game with more puzzles and running around. It is a decent game, but it was made for the 3ds originally and shows some of its limitations. I do remember some frustrating parts from it and a lack of enemy variety. It is still a decent game and I had a pretty good time when I played it. It is less action focus compared to other entries in the series.

For 40 dollars and if you haven't played either, I would pick it up. I have played both and have 0 interest in picking it up again.

I played the first on Wii U and the second on PS4.

Yup, I have the Wii U version of Rayman on my hard drive and it's 7.something GB, but the switch version on the eshop page is only 2.something.

Huh. That's really interesting. Assuming the game's quality hasn't been compromised in any meaningful way, good job, Ubisoft.
