This for me. If its an up-port of the 3ds one, that's really cool and all and I'm sure it will find a lot of fans (DQ is awesome no matter the graphics look like) but I'll get it for PS4 for that new engine goodness. If its a downport of the PS4 one well I'll get it for Switch day 1.

There is no redemption for Eurogamer, it's time to let go of the "Pokémon Star" being on the Switch rumour and accept that Ultra Sun and Moon is the real "Pokémon Star"

Normally, the Pokemon Sun port was even rumoured by Eurogamer (called a leak...) also it's logical, why should i not want to play the games on a better and bigger screen in 720p instead of 240p. I would love to see every newer 3DS game on Switch to be honest. I own both so i hope this kind of family port begging is not that scandalous.

Back on the official Nsider forums, I made a thread for what I wanted Luigi's Mansion 2 to be.

Basically, it takes place at the same time as Super Mario Sunshine. While Mario, Peach, and Toadsworth are on vacation, King Boo sees an opportunity to usurp a throne and reestablish himself. Luigi, who is house-sitting, thinks he has a big beautiful castle to himself for the week. But when Boos suddenly swarm the castle and put the castle staff to sleep, Luigi hides in a hall closet to avoid the commotion. In the closet, he finds the in-home model of the Poltergust. He reluctantly suits up.

So instead of a haunted mansion, it's the haunted Princess Peach's castle, taken over and redecorated by King Boo and his minions. Throughout the building, Luigi can also enter the nightmares of the castle staff. If he eradicates the Boo that is giving them bad dreams, the staff member returns to form and offers Luigi clues and assistance. Luigi cleanses the castle of its spooks and haunts just in time for Peach and crew to return. Not knowing what he's been through, they thank him for house-sitting with a kitschy little souvenir.


In my heart, this actually happened.

But King Boo was in Sunshine.

Oh, there is in fact a tradition of that, for as short a time frame as it comprises. Check previous Nintendo-annoucement related threads and you're bound to scroll by pages of "lol 3ds", "WHY NO SWIIIIITCH" or "move on from 3DS OMG". Incredibly annoying.

Good. Hopefully Nintendo hears the noise and VC-like ports modern 3DS titles to their current generation portable.

But... why? First of all, the Switch is not their current generation "portable". Next, they have a solid user base on the 3DS, a recently launched hardware refresh and healthy sales of their other, newer platform.

Don't port beg, kids... its beneath you!

Do you know what port begging is and why it is frowned upon? By your logic, we shouldn't critique PC exclusive players who want to play Bloodborne. Their device is, after all, newer and better.

Seriously. Its Smash. There is literally a 0% chance they'd do a port of Smash 4. They will never make a mere Smash port. People are just saying they will because of dumb old rumors or because they expect Nintendo to port everything when Nintendo hardly ever does ports, especially for muliplayer games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is that very rare exception, not he rule. And Pokken is just because TPC are their own thing and do things differently. People who expect a ton of 1st party ports for Switch are in for a rude awakening.

Its baffling to me how anyone can expect a port of Smash. Its not happening. It will be a sequel released sometime between 2018-2020. It will never be a port, or even a port with some new contents like MK8D. Smash will never get a mere port.

You will all see.

I just want all the characters to come back. I don't care what they do otherwise. Asking for a port is just an easy way to get that point across. Smash 4 has the craziest roster to date. The DLC characters are insanely unpredictable. I don't want to see any of that go away.

Obviously, it's unrealistic to cling to the past (Melee players being the exception to the rule), but that's how I feel at the moment.

Just have Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, and Pac-Man in the same game again, and I'll be A-OK!

That is a semantic cop-out. When the set Systems comprises two objects (3DS, Switch), saying "Systems - 3DS" is the same as saying "Switch". Obviously those people are not saying "Systems - 3DS - Switch" as that would mean they don't even want the game made.

Of course, its very different. But its the principle of the thing! Just because a newer device exists doesn't mean the old one should stop receiving support. It will naturally die off as more and more people move over to Switch. I don't seem to recall people complaining over the PS3's long life. In fact, I recall people praising Sony for still supporting it after a lot of time.

For 3 they should just do some fast travelling through spooky mirrors or something. Because the atmosphere suffered from the arcade style level select. What was worse was the enemy design though. The bosses in 1 were so much better and less generic.

I don't disagree with that. The boss fights in Dark Moon were pretty bland and the ghosts themselves were just generic ghosts as opposed to distinct spirits. If they fix that for Luigi's Mansion 3, we'd get the best of two worlds
