Thats exactly my point. This image of the nice friendly neighbor Nazi is seen too rarely.
That was btw the reason why Get Out was so successful.
The bad guys were nice people on the surface.
It was a much more effective display of racism than for example a stereotypical Nazi/racist alá American History X because it was a more realistic display of what everyday racists look like.
It was more realistic, even though it had weird stuff about brain transplants etc in it.




Do you think it would be wrong to discuss these issues in threads about new trailers for games which depict arabs or black people in stereotypical ways?

Personally I actually think gory revenge porn slaughtering Nazis like Wolfenstein or Inglorious Basterds is pretty cool. I enjoy it a lot even though the image of Nazis it instills in people might actually be harmful

I dont disagree with you, I just think what you brought up is a complex topic in itself which deserves to have a thread dedicated to it(either here or OT side) where it can be discussed freely unshackled from a Wolfenstein 2 thread.

Matter of fact I actually recommend you make a thread about it because how the media portrays Nazis is something that absolutely should be discussed in light of current U.S and global affairs.

No, Castle Wolfenstein on the Apple 2 was not this crazy. It has been like this intermittently since 1992 however, and The New Order was a particularly spicy meatball.

Oh yeah definitely this game brings a lot of plot point from the new order however if you don't have the time just watch some cut scenes or lets plays.

EZA are being misrepresented here. The discussion was about CoD WWII and Wolfenstein and whether their marketing should/will change post Charlottesville. I think they actually definitively said staying the course was their best option.
