Gran Turismo Sport demo coming Oct. 9

Lost in a sea of GIF’s a couple of pages back, but...

Any recommendations for a good wheel setup without selling a limb? I see some folks spending $1K plus and I am sure that's some good kit but considering my lack of love for racing games something entry level will do me just fine to add to the immersion without paying money on something that's garbage either.

I'm guessing not many, if any wheels works across PS4 and XB1 out of the box? I can buy a Drive Hub if needed anyway but thought I would ask the question out of curiosity.

I’m in Australia so obviously prices will differ but just after opinions from those who’ve tested particular wheels or even better, various wheels.

Absolutely insane.

I’m in Australia, not a plus member, so I can still play it at the same time as plus users. 53mins in other words.
The NZ Playstation FB page posted a time of 10pm NZ Time for the demo. So basically at the time of this post you'd be waiting another 2 hours and 40 minutes.

I’ve never owned a wheel before but for GTS that will change. I guess I should start looking into the T150 unless there’s something better in that price range.

Cheers but is it good or would I get better value by spending a bit more? I’m happy to spend the money if it’s worth it :)

I read yesterday on here that the pedals are shite, but they can be upgraded separately later.

You can also see if you can find deals for G29, since that's a more complete package.

The T150 is the entry-level supported wheel.

No, preload has been available from the start for everyone in EU region (includes AU/NZ)

how is T150 compared to DFGT? I already have DFGT since GT5, I like it. I' wondering if I should get GIMX and keep using DFGT or buy a new T150.

it's been awhile since I use DFGT though. last time I used it is for Drive Club

Looking at the T150...Cheapest in the UK is £139 but friends are saying the pedals are dogshit. Is there a better wheel combo out there for the same price?

For those thinking you need a wheel to achieve top times, some of the top times in the beta were pad users, me included 8)

GT Sport Online Manual is live.

Custom Race

Tweak the conditions as you see fit, and race against AI drivers in your very own original race. Once you have selected a transmission type, the following settings can be adjusted:

・Race Type (Laps/Endurance)
・No. of Laps (If the Race Type is set to "Laps".)
・Time Limit (If the Race Type is set to "Endurance".)
・No. of Cars
・Starting Grid (Player's Starting Position)
・Start Type (Grid Start/Rolling Start)
・Rolling Start Interval (If "Rolling Start" has been selected)
・Boost (A feature which increases the speed of cars which are trailing.)
・Slipstream Strength
・Mechanical Damage
・Tyre Wear
・Fuel Depletion
・Grip Reduction on Wet Track/Track Edge (Low/Real)
・Opponent Category (The larger the gap between your car's category and your opponents' cars' category, the more stars will appear on the left side of the settings screen, indicating a more difficult race. More difficult races pay out more in prize money.)
・Opponent Speed (Increasing from Beginner to Intermediate to Expert will increase the number of stars that appear on the left side of the settings screen, indicating a more difficult race. More difficult races pay out more in prize money.)
・Shortcut Penalty
・Wall Collision Penalty
・Correct Vehicle Course After Wall Collision
・Replace Cars When they Leave the Track
・Flag Rules (If set to 'On', the flag indications given by the marshal on the side of the track will be enforced, and drivers will incur penalties for disregarding them.)

I think my time is usually better in gamepad too. probably because I'm more used playing with pad than wheel. but wheel is just more fun to play.

RaspberryPi+GIMX adapter.
PC+GIMX adapter.
CronuxMax DriveHub adapter ready-to-go adapter.

If any one of you can grap a cheap Logitech Driving Force GT wheel from the second-hand market and then DriveHub adapter it may be a good entry-level jump to PS4 racing games.

Is that the wheel that was released with gt4 on ps2?

I have one of them put away the adapter definetly works?

I have this one or is it too old?

The pedals are shity until 350e T300gt range.

Wet track?

Don't play with me like this.

Wet Weather Tyres
Wet weather tyres have channels on the treads to drain out water. Intermediate tyres are used for slight rain or tracks that are wet in some parts only, while heavy-wet tyres are used in all other cases.

・Racing: Intermediate (RI)
・Racing: Heavy-Wet (RH)

Okay, you cannot go into options at all without it crashing. That's my third crash to XMB in under two minutes. You have been forewarned.

I was able to set my options before the game actually launched - now it crashes every time.

Dont know if it saved my previous settings yet. (edit: nope)
