Yeah, regarding that sequel to a 3DS game, I know certain studio is working on something awesome and think it's the same thing you're hitning.

Try contacting one of your older communities people to get an invite to one of discords. If you don't know anybody don't worry. RE will eventually open up to public.

I would like an invite to ResetEra as well.
Though im not so sure it will take off or survive. Message boards are a dying format as most people turn to other forms of social media for their games info these days. It's going to be an uphill battle to build era into an active community instead of feeling like a small club that slowly dwindles out. gaf will have its own issues repopulating lost members as well. This whole event kind of feels like the end days for gaming forums in general which sucks because I like the community aspect.

Not only that, but have you seen the people seeking for bans on here since the meltdown? Many of them did, at the beginning, by using rape jokes, homophobic comments and racist slurs. Seriously, if THAT'S the people going to the alternative GAF, then I'd rather stay on a known shithole than getting used to a new one.
Edit: I want to clarify that not everyone leaving was/is doing this and this was happening at the very beginning of the GAF meltdown. Still, it was disgusting to see.

If ResetEra will be a true new start, I would love an invite too. I am junior member because I often prefer to comment only when something was not said before and when I feel I can contribute in a significant way. I hope that new forum, not as robust, will be great for that

For all of us not in Discord/Twitter and unaware of the mods there, could you name them please? If Durante is a mod there that's a positive on my book, dude was pretty helpful on Steam GAF.

As for the DS game... With the link from Smash it only really points to either Pikmin...or Kid Icarus. Fire Emblem and Pokemon were already confirmed.

for everyone asking about an invite to Reset, theres no need for one. The site will be open for everyone to register the same day it goes live.
They are just doing a first wave registration to get a bunch of people(like gaf community leaders for official topics) in to set up threads so when everyone else starts registering, theres content on there, instead of being empty.

Eh seems like Shinobi602 is running the show, but he's one of the biggest corporate mouthpiece in gaming (outside YouTube). He was trying to hype up the facial animations in ME:A in exchange for early access, no joke. It worked but any negative Bioware posts will probably get banned.
I predict "featured industry veteran" content (aka paid) within 2 years.
its 8 people running the show together, not just Shinobi (he's just part of the 8).

They reported the time the site would go live, and everyone in the discord was puzzled at where they get that time from lol. The 8 admins are a good selection, mixed perspectives instead of one owner/admin who calls all the shots.snail_maze

I also don't see him as a corporate mouthpiece. He's just unapologeticaly positive. A bit like NXgamer.
Aeana is in in an advisory capacity.

Not a drive by. Ive read that Shinobi will be involved (https://www.polygon.com/2017/10/24/16536652/neogaf-resetera-forum-scandal-malka). Also seen rumours Slayvern will be a mod (not sure if true) plus other moderators who defected from GAF. Some of these moderators were terrible for building communities around themselves and didnt help foster an inclusive community here. If its a new site it needs new blood in the mod team, not personalities who are celebrated and cheered for being rampant with the ban hammer and not being impartial.
Thats enough of a warning sign for me. Both people mentioned above have in the past displayed tunnel vision and better than thou behaviour (Im right, your opinion doesnt matter) and both have an ego problem from what Ive seen before. And they could be moderators? Fuck that. Just my opinion and that is enough to keep me away.
And like mentioned above, some of the sick stuff people have been doing here asking for bans, if theyre the type going there; Im out.
actual forum, once it goes live, people can register on the same day. no invite needed.
