Tekken |OT| of Tag Assaulting the Devil, Ogres, Wild Animals & MILFs (Bitcap Warning)

And I wish there was a stream of WCG, I heard Nobi really levelled up and thinks he can overthrow the Koreans this time around. Have fun repping Tekken as the referee! And shoutouts to WCG commentary, let's hope it won't cause you to rip your ears out! :p

Yeah i hope the commentators on Tekken are not so oblivious to the game this year...

And we will see if we can put up a stream online in some way...

COME ON ARCADEUFO, GET YOUR TTT2 MACHINE TOO!! I will drive to austin every single week after finals! TAKE MY MONEY!!

Turns the secret developer of Tekken 3DS is Arika. Guess their 3DS fighting test engine paid off if it landed them the contract over Eighting (who did the PSP games).

What else has Eighting done? Their PSP Tekken ports were superb. I hail them for all the amazing shit they did with DR and 6, especially the load times. Wish the home console versions loaded as fast even if I get shittier graphics

IIRC, I believe they made (helped?) Bloody Roar series, Castlevania Judgement, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and MvC3.

Talented bunch.

Well I can't say much about Castlevania judgement but its not like you hear a lot of Eighting talk when it comes to MvC3

Speaking on their Tekken PSP ports is anyone else having this odd trouble of getting Tekken 6 PSP to load faster when the whole game is already on the Memory stick?

I mean I dumped the entire game from the UMD to the memory stick but it still has crazy long load times. I can only alleviate this If I go to options and install data onto stick. Installing data when everything is already on the stick. -_- Locking load times or something?

Oh and another thing,

PS3 system? Interesting......

been playing TAG2 in Seoul for two days now :D amazing arcade scene and everyone is really helpful and nice.

My skill is just not great enough to beat these guys and since i have no experience eith Tag, i cant use two characters properly. Only used Feng and tried to mash powermoves with Heihachi :D

Just watched Tekken BV and...it had good fights and the CGI was very good, but the focus on Xiaoyu and Alisa was not to my liking. Japan needs to quit with their love of high school shenanigans like this.
Nina and Anna are friggin' wincest, I swear.
Best non-fighting parts were Panda and Lee.

The movie should've had Miguel as the main character, on a quest for vengeance and ending up in the battle between Jin's side and Kazuya's side. Each side having some Tekken characters and they all duke it out.

They did a lot of license anime fighters like the Naruto ones on Gamecube.

I like them best for publishing awesome shooting games like Soukyugurentai and Battle Garegga in the 90s

Anyone else disappointed with the graphics in PS3 TT2? Can anyone give any details regarding how it stands up to the arcade version? It looks almost identical to T6.

i got to play tag 2 at nec and played sc5 once. they are both fun games and cant wait till they come out. i'm salty though that next level might not get tag 2.

Did anyone watch my scrubby ass play on sp00ky stream from NEC this weekend?

You beat Filthie brother... the man has TTT2 and you prevailed over him!

It's a pretty significant downgrade from the Arcade version. See this Post:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32815446&postcount=813

I assume it's still a work in progress and there are chances we might see improvements with the final release since it is quite far away... or I hope. But I'm not expecting that much improvements since their hardware team is spread everywhere making Tekken WiiU, TTT2 for PS3 and 360 (and probably VITA), and then there's TxSF technology and system that has to be made.

There still might be a chance. If the Tekken community can show enough interest & support to Henry Cen, he might upgrade and get the cabinets that Namco wants for it to run TTT2 @ Next Level.

Btw, GrayFox, was that you I ran into in player match yesterday? You were playing Raven and I was Jin. I sent you a message, but you didn't respond.

Oh it was you? Man, that's some fine Jin you got there. I'm trying to get a feel for Raven back after long break. Sorry I didn't answer I use simple pad without ps button and then simply forgot to check messages after a session.

Thanks, what pad are you using?

Logitech precision. Shitty buttons, but good d-pad.
I see. I really need a new pad, my DS3 is starting to feel a little unreliable.

I have an original ps1 controller in perfect condition that I would really like to use, anyone know if the iNPiN ps2 to ps3 converter would work with that?

There's Logitech Cordless Precision for ps3 I must finally get, they don't make them anymore but it uses batteries, meh. There's wired logitech chillstream but the d-pad looks wierd, don't know if it's any good. I use usb precision and ps2 precision through converter.
I bought and tested almost 100 controllers in search for decent d-pad.

After firmware update most normal converters stopped working, one still works for me, some no-name.

you may be right. he really was interested in getting it though. I'm not too sure how cabinets work but would he be able to get it to work with other noir cabs like the t6 one or does it have to be the one that namco wants to sell him? same time can't really blame him since cabinets are extremely expensive. we have the knock off cabs for AE & kof13 but it was better than nothing. maybe he can sell the one thats unused, kof 13 and some of the ae cabs if he cant update to v2012 to have money for the noir cabs.

That's pretty disappointing. I'm a proud Graphics Whore, and part of my hype for this title was that it seemed to be the first Tekken title with a graphics engine that impressed me :/

I'm craving boxing lately so I tried out Dean..err Steve for the first time since T4. Holy crap, when did he get so difficult?
Played online as with my shitty memory I forgot 2 hours of training in the second I left practice mode. The only way to really learn anything is by getting a raw beating. And boy did I get it.
But after few hours I got little better and actually started wining. Not against Doomshine but he's a robot that can do instinctively full damage combo after sudden trade moves, so it doesn't count ;P.
I keep messing up juggle opportunities, I just mechanically push the wrong buttons! I ask myself why but me doesn't answer. If I ever nail down f+3_4 cancel db into ws1,2 in a juggle I'll be really happy. I practice it on the ground - A OK! Try it in juggle - I panic! What's wrong with my mindset? Anyway Steve's really fun.

Steve truly is a challenging character to play. The local player here who I play against a lot here in Ottawa mains Bruce, Steve, and Lee. I'm currently main Armor King, & Hwoarang, while dabbling with Julia/Capo's/Mishima's. So I have a LOT of Steve experience while playing AK and Hwoa. Here are some things he really grills me with:
When the guy is always cancelling into his different sways, weaves, ducks, albatrosses, flickers, I feel so helpless trying to approach him and in the end I have to work extra hard on my spacing to get the optimal windo.
One thing I ALWAYS fall for being an AKing and Hwoarang player is that both of their WS+4 moves are relatively fast and safe and it's a natural habit to throw them out when someone does a move on me that forces a crouch. BUT frickin Steve's ws+1,2 has so much frame advantage that he can weave right dodging my WS+4 for which he can transition into his forward duck+2 launcher... it's so frustrating.
Also, his stupid 2,1 can transition into either Peakaboo or Flicker. Being the idiot I am I always try to punish it for some reason. Well, steve can 2,1~f~shoryuken you if you dare try that. And then there's also the d+1 and d/f+2 mixups in that stance as well if you try to defend.
And then of coarse he can stalk you with that infamous b+1. And in his Flicker stance if he catches you with (I think) FLK 1,d+1 on counter hit, he gets a free f,f+2 for a complete juggle.
His wall pressure is also freiking scary. So many options, like the d/b+3,2 d/b+3,2 complete wall juggle or SWY 1+2 wall push, among many others.

On the flipside though, he is an extremely technical character and I do see my friend stall or drop when his stance cancels or his movement isn't up to par where I can fully take advantage. But in the end, Steve truly is one of the most unique characters in Tekken. He's the only one where the controls for his limbs are used for something entirely different and I hope Harada & co make more characters like him in the future. (I'm hoping if Juri will be in TxSF, they'll do something like this for her 1,2 commands similar to how Steve's 3,4 commands work)

who drew this?

Hmmmm.... some Namco artist I presume? Probably the same guy that did these maybe?

ibnypBTpsNH04W.jpg

EDIT: Nvm artstyles are way too different

And something from Micheal Murray's twitter:

https://twitter.com/#!/mykeryu/status/144616866856448000

Console release might be farther than we thought.

I'm sorry man, I'm not really sure but this is what Harada told Team Sp00ky:

https://twitter.com/#!/Harada_TEKKEN/status/143962193950556160

So I assume it has something to do with a JVS cab or something like that.

MYK did a really good LYUG on him just recently which he followed up with some SPECTACULAR Steve play in last weeks EWGFridays.

I've been messing around with Steve my self in Tag 2 but I'm struggling with whom to partner him up with. I wanna use Roger but he really didn't transfer over well to the new game at all (RIP SS+4).

I need tips. Whats the best way to play against someone who just does 112 constantly with mishimas? Im talking 112s so much that he catches you during a mid poke :\

I still beat the guy but its just absolutely depressing that I was having trouble against someone with that playstyle. Do I just use more lows and fight back with my own pokes?

-Duck jabs, launch.
-Sidestep jabs, (NOT LAR'S ones that guy is just an asshole) launch.
-If he is Mishimas then try and duck those jabs and EWGFs. Just watch out for mids really.
-Block them, and find a good quick punish (Leo's 1,4 comes to mind)
-If he is punishing you with them, bait it then punish him.

Wheeeeeee
