Giant Bomb E3 2012

Definite truth bombs being dropped on Nintendo.

I'd say the Wii U is in a much worse situation than the Dreamcast was, a transitional console. It doesn't even the momentary graphical leap.

I feel as though Nintendo is entering this next-gen in a similar style as it was after the GameCube all over again.

c'mon now

that's ridiculous

if Nintendo is losing anything, its part of its core audience. That was all the Dreamcast had, no casual side.

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. When the PS4/720 drop, the Wii U will find itself in the same situation the Wii did. Even as a PS360 analog it can't get ports today.

I believe it will be by far the most short lived Nintendo console ever released, Virtual Boy aside.

I thought you meant in terms of Nintendo ending up going the same route and not doing hardware anymore

they still sell, they still have an audience even if its not us.

Im not too worried, these cycles repeat. They'll have the conference where they announce all the shit we want and we'll all be happy (they introduced fuckin kirby, Donkey Kong, etc in one conference alone). The only problem here is the timing, and even thought it generates issues, it wont kill them.

Nah, I meant in terms of interest in the machine. I don't think they will pull another Wii.

Shame Geoff had to leave - quite of a few of the guests are kinda boring.

Podcast could do with a good pseudo-antagonist like Blow
or Leigh Alexander
.

Geoff has the best life. I wish I had it lol.

Actually I'd take any one of these guys lives, I wish I had the talent to work in the industry, or if I could go back in time and major in it.

I agree. The wiimote and wii sports were a pure stroke of genius. They're chasing the same success with another weird controller but it doesn't even come close in terms of universal appeal imo

the subtitles are fine, what the fuck

Dark Moon sounds weird for a Nintendo game, but Luigi's Mansion is probably their biggest departure in terms of weird IPs by now.

Sticker Star is totally fine and Im more than sure that it makes sense with the story.
