Of course they do. There was that one Nintendo higher-up that pretty much called all RPG fans something to the effect of "pimply faced nerds" that no company wants in their demographic. All three have their own, special brand of stupidity, and Sony's isn't any less "precious."

They have improved a long way since the harsh days of 2005-2007 thankfully. My console playing has taken a complete switch from all 360 to all PS3 due to some really great moves with the PSN.
They need to tread reallllly carefully with the PS4. Any fuckups and they will be torn to shreds.

Sony has always been colorful in their PR. What's best is remembering how people bought into the PR hype machine and regurgitated their thoughts and arguments verbatim in the months leading up to the 360 launch. "Xbox 1.5" mine as well have been the truth to a lot of Sony fanboys.
You guys remember Factor 5 talking shit about how awesome their Dragon game was gonna be and how it was impossible on the 360? Or SE dismissing the 360 because it didn't have blu-ray? good times.
I wonder if next time around, people will let the games speak for themselves, rather than hanging on every PR word these game console manufacturers put out? Sony and MS in particular like to get gamers thinking they should expect the stars when they only have the moon to offer.

First of all, every company says dumb things at some point when they taste greatness. Nintendo, Microsoft, and countless others are guilty of this.
Secondly, over half those quotes are coming out of respect of the overwhelming success of the PS2. You cannot fault a company for trying to keep momentum alive whilst trying to create hype for a product through PR/top brass. Who knows how many of the quotes were taken out of context.
