G.I joe Field training center tower complete with rappelling rope.

It was orange and as tall as me. My GI joe with the rubber Kung fu grip could rappel to his field tent below.

I was 7 years old and awoke to the tower fully assembled. Awesomeness.

My most enduring christmas image.

My bad- belongs in off topic. Best wishes all.

The Gamecube really stands out to me. Got it with SSBM, Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion. I was so excited. Great times.

Yeah I got a Gamecube too one year. With Pikmin! So cool.

But I also got the N64 when I was a little kid and no I am not the N64 kid. I got Super Mario 64 and Star Fox 64 with the console, so yeah, I think that's it for me.

And my cousin got the Cobra Terrordrome simultaneously

Nothing came close to that again. Brilliant co-ordination by my mom and aunt considering we didn't even ask for these, our minds were absolutely blown

It wasn't for me, but gets me thinking everyday a little about it.

Dad has always been fairly broke, but always felt the need to get the other relatives something for X-mas. He's pretty good at fixing broken things.

He took the skills he had and applied it to a handy vac that he managed to get on the cheap/affordable from Goodwill. It wasn't working too well at the time, but he managed to fix it up, good as new.

My relatives (who live in a nice house etc.) open it up and have some weird expressions on their faces. It wasn't something new, which is what these types expect, but it was something pretty old, but got the job done. They thanked him for it, then proceeded to keep it behind chairs in the living room, out of view. I think they claimed to have used it a few times, but I seriously doubt they really did.

It just got me thinking that sometimes of the best gifts go unappreciated because gifts have to be something new or any of that garbage.

As a kid, I really loved the Godzilla movie and when I opened this beast of a figure, my god.. I was in awe. I lost the back which acted as a lid or something, not sure why as that's a pretty odd addition.. the roar still works also after 14 years.

Nintendeo sixty fouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuur!

That video is pretty much me and my younger brother as we shared a room and would "combine" our christmas lists to ask for one (and a snes years before)

Probably 2001. 9 year old me was so happy when I opened up that Gamecube. Parents also got my Luigi's Mansion which I thoroughly enjoyed.

When I was a kid, my parents came back home late from shopping for Christmas. I remember just rushing at the bags of stuff they got and found Final Fantasy 7 for PlayStation and Man, was I ecstatic. Not just cause it's FF7 though, but because I got a new game to play, lol.

My parents we're just welp, Merry Christmas and I went and played that shit all day & night. Probably one of reasons why I love FF7 a lot.

Playstation 2 with Tekken Tag Tournament. This was a month after they had been released and I asked my parents to tell my entire family(Aunties/Uncles/Grandparents etc) to chip in and I'd be happy with that alone. That day was a good day.

N64 of course.

GH2 was played all week when I got it.

Also Eminem's Encore, I'm listening to it right now because it's become a Christmas album for me now.

Probably NES. I was so young back then and i didn't know wtf this awesome machine was but all i knew is that it entertained me for hours. So awesome.

Gamecube as well, Smash Bros. Melee and Luigi's Mansion are easily some of my favorite game of all time, and the 'cube is one of my favorite consoles. All of that on Christmas morning? Fuck yeah!

- SNES with Super Mario World (and another game from my aunt from the USA which didn't work with my PAL system - the cartridges even had a different form :( ). Me and my sister were so bad at playing Mario, that my mother played for us when were sleeping after she came home from work, so that we had more levels to play.

- tickets for Disneyland Paris

- LEGO every year

Gonna have to go with N64 like a lot of people here.

Holy jesus fuck that year was magical. I got a new bike, N64 with Mario, I was in fucking heaven. Up until that point we had owned a SNES, and when N64 came out it was like fucking godtier in my child mind. We rented it OFTEN from blockbuster and I knew I had to have it. It just blew my mind running around the mushroom kingdom in 3d!

I had a similar experience with the PSX. I didn't get one for christmas, but eventually I owned one with FF7 without a memory card, so I would leave the thing running for days on end until I had one.

FF7 was the first game I owned on PSX. Mario 64 on N64 (easy), FFX on PS2. Luigi's Mansion on GameCube (got that when it launched), Twilight Princess for Wii (also at launch).

But N64 christmas will always remain a special place in my heart. Dreams came true gentlemen, dreams came true.

get some go again
i honestly can't remember. all the consoles i've ever had were bought when my parents felt like it and when i had the money. that also goes for a lot of non gaming stuff. don't remember having christmas wish lists.

I don't really remember, I only got presents when I was around 5 to 7, which I don't really remember much of, I do remember getting toy cars or something.

Edit: Oh right, clothes every year.
