So, I'm not familiar with the eshop. Is Fire Emblem going to be available for download on release date? Will it update that day?

Am I the only person who's annoyed by the fact that most of the games don't have their price listed in the press release every week? I mean, what's the rationale behind holding back vital information that helps prospective buyers decide what they want to purchase? Why do some games have their price listed but others don't?

They used to list prices. Now they don't. I made the same complaint when they changed.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it may post at midnight on the 4th; several other retail games on eshop have posted at midnight as soon as the street date arrives.

But it will be up the same day at some point, yeah.

Nice! I just got a 5 euro code from Nintendo premium, so I'll use that for some pinball tables.
To save you some headaches: If you buy a table, you only get the unlock key, not the table itself, so you have to download the trial version as well. The whole DLC implementation is quite rough.

I was replying to the post that began with "None, because they aren't doing GBA games for 3DS VC." Find me any source where Iwata said that there will be no GBA games for the 3DS VC.

The one where they said they have no plans to make 3DS games available on the 3DS VC when the Ambassador program was announced.

Bloody Vampire looks Metroidvania-ish, so looking forward to Nintendo Life's review of it. Fire Emblem is a no-brainer. Wonder if Ice Climber will have the 2-player download mode in its update like was put in to Super C last week.

It blows my mind GBA VC is coming to WiiU first, and it would be even more mind blowing if they never come to 3DS.

Still, I'm excited to see GBA VC coming period, even if it's not portable. I'm gonna be really upset when Mother 3 comes to VC in Japan and not anywhere else though :'(

I never thought of that: All three Mothers on the Japanese Wii U!

Trine 2 finally! :D

It was NZ$17.99 on sale I think.
Yep, launch discount is from now through to February 28, and it's 25% off so AU$14.99 (regular AU$19.99) and NZ$17.99 (regular NZ$24.99). I actually made a mistake in the press release we sent where the discounted price is listed at NZ$19.99, but in reality it is/should be NZ$17.99. We hope the pricing and discount are fair, given the delay and all...

Interesting... Sparkle Snapshots is developed by Atlus and published by Nintendo?

It's kind of crazy to think that this may have played a role in developing their relationship to the point of doing a SMT/Fire Emblem crossover!

Getting Ken's Rage 2, F Zero, and Fire Emblem.

Still waiting for the save transfer tool before buying Kart 7 again, Nintendo.

do you know if this is temporarily or permanently free?

In Japan, the first DLC was free for a month. Some earlier report said that the first U.S. DLC would be free for a week. Don't know how reliable the timeframe is there (would've expected a month), but it's probably just a temporary free DLC.

Digital Deluxe Promotion is a cool little money saver!

I did not think I was going to get Puddle today because of my Hyrule Historia spending but at $7.99 and just logging in to the DDP website and checking to make sure I did not have a $5 waiting for me and bingo

Zen Pinball 2's DLC implementation is horrible. You have a "Download Demo" button in game for the tables or packs or whatever (it's not entirely clear if packs cover some of the tables listed individually) but it just pops up a message saying go get it from the eShop.

Gunman Clive is now on the front page of the US eShop! The game can also be found under the category "Staff Picks" on the EU eShop. :)

Yea I heard. It's on the front page in Europe too. Really can't wait for todays numbers but I'm trying to keep my expectations in check

Ah, thanks. I was wondering if the eshop only updated at certain points in the week or not.

Ah, Zen Pinball 2 does indeed have off-TV play. It's a bit tricky to find. You have to drag from the very edge of the top of the screen's pad then swipe down to the bottom. Reverse to put it back.

They should have delayed it again.

Jesus Christ!

(mass) DLC download is a pain in the ass!

just bought zen pinball 2
to use a table you basically have to download the trial and then the unlock key. so far, so standard.

do I thought to myself: hey, you got a bit of time on your hands, so just download all the trials that are out the to safe you some later hassle.

1. There are 13 trials ATM
2. you can only add add 5 to your "cart"
3. you have to exit and restart the game to install DLC.
4. Unlock keys are in the same list

so... download five items, start game, exit game, download the next batch.... and so on...

with all trials and unlock keys I've bought so far I've had to start/quit the game/enter eshop five times.

yeah, dunno but this seems a bit excessive to me.

fix dat!

beside that: eshop downloads seem to be way fast now and the game is great!

edit:

highfive Robin64!

Zen Pinball 2 really is great, aside from the DLC implementation. Already decided I have to have the Avengers and Plants vs Zombies tables.
