Putting out this and KH HD are two of their better decisions in recent times.
While it is one of their better decisions, it's also one of the more obvious decisions :p

When you consider when God of War Collection first game out and how well it's done (2m+?), then these really should have csme out a while back. Now I'm not sure if it'll match GoW's sales even I really hope they do (FF in particular)

Can't wait to play Blitztball in HD 60HZ. Pal version still cries out for vengeance.
Damn I forgot about that. One of my main criticisms about Blitzball even if I liked it was the fact it was so slow. That and trekking around in general will be so much easier

Dammit I was meant to edit this in...

I really hope both KH HD and FFXHDR do well.

I don't want to sound hyperbolic or anything, but KH 1.5 might just be the most well done remaster I've played yet. If FFX/X-2 get the same amount of attention (Looks like it will, at this rate!) that'd be two stellar collections in one year.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
God dammit now I want this shit.. Jesus
Straight up.

I think that the people who say this looks better than XIII needs to get their eyes fixed - however I am pleasantly surprised to see how AMAZING this looks.

It's not hyperbolic if it's the truth. KH HD is fantastic.

For those who have played both the regular and international version of FF X, how many fewer nodes would you say the expert sphere grid has? Just approximate percentage-wise?

1.5 already had the second best launch for any remaster in Japan. It only trails MH3rd HD. It's also only the second remaster to break 100k in its first week in Japan.

so looking at the screens it still looks like there are separate super-high-quality cutscene models, and then the normal quality models for everywhere else. why didn't squenix just put the cutscene model everywhere?

If SE did VII, VIII and IX in HD, those would have to be full blown remakes.

Unless you want to see 'gloved' hands and blocky arms in crisp and clean HD.

Up next FFVII and FFVIII HD REMASTER.

I would die
Well those two are in the Steam registry...

VII re-released last year on SE's store. But I understand you're talking about HD remasters, which would never happen on PC.

If they ever did those two, VII would come first.

Texture improvements are a big deal, the blurry textures on the PS2 version were a literal eyesore for me in 2001.

They're putting more effort into it than I expected.

I just thought of something, don't they need to get the last mission+ dubbed? for FFX-2 HD?

Yes. Last Mission was only available in Japan so it would need to be dubbed.

I wonder if Squenix will ever consider dual audio in their games. No matter, these are the International versions which include both English and Japanese text so I can import the Asia version if I have to.

I paid good money for this Dynex!
Still think it's hilarious how much more excited people are about this they are about an actual, new Final Fantasy game. And that's good. Hopefully, Square will take this as a sign that they should figure out what it was people liked about their older games and actually learn from it.

I don't remember FFX receiving much backlash when it released. A lot of people still regard it as one of the better entries in the series as well, as opposed to the more recent titles.

FFX got a lot of backlash. A lot of people didn't like voice acting and hated Tidus / Yuna characters. I remember fighting for it on IGN :p

FFVI, FFVII, FFX are my top 3. Great games even if I did fail Lulu's ultimate weapon test at 194 lightning bolts.
I'm still angry.

The game got a lot of backlash for the voice acting, though.

Last real FF as far as I'm concerned. My favourite game of all time, actually. It felt like all the entries from 1-9 were pretty much leading towards FFX. After that Square really started to experiment with the series. Here's hoping FFXV and ARR will bring the series back.

Also isn't FFX regarded in Japan as the second best game in the series following FFVII?

FFX was a great game. Not quite as good at FFXII but great none the less.

I said this in another thread, but FFX might be my favorite Final Fantasy for the battle system alone.

completely agreed. and for me the setting and themes are the most memorably. I will be overcome with emotion when playing this after so many years.
