It's surprisingly lite. Was prepped in advance for the lowish resolution screen and slight blur when turning around. So far, I think it's pretty damn cool.

Tomorrow I'm taking my Rift to the office to show around. I'm sure the same is happening in many tech-oriented places, especially game developers. I wouldn't read too much into it.
It's already very light, I was really surprised when I first picked mine up. The consumer model will be even lighter, but IMHO the weight isn't an issue at all.

He obviously just jumped to conclusions after they took it down and thought that it was assuming that they were testing it or something. Though his Dead Space 3 and Remember Me leak have been spot on as of the last year, not including what else he's leaked before that. I'm sure they took it down because they didn't want to be seen and thought of as goofing off at work. Assuming that it's actually been taken down like he's said.

I've heard Dead Rising 3 is a clusterfuck that was supposed to be announced and released by last fall. And at some point they just decided to move it up to next-gen apparently.

It's true of most gamers, perhaps, but on the other hand, there are people with superior social skills who are fine wearing the OR for Youtube videos that get 100k+ views.

This really could be the next big thing. HMDs have always been so nitch because they stunk. This is the first one (under thousands of dollars) that is good enough that it actually starts to fool your brain into thinking you are in a different place.

Sure, you wouldn't want to cause a Rift between you and your family, but setting aside an hour of alone time for Daddy every few days should be acceptable imo. Headphones don't enable social interaction either, but everyone owns a pair. How are HMD's different?

Dude, it's virtual reality, it's the best kind of niche. I'll be buying the consumer model on the first day it's out.
yeahe, MS not need to do alot, just install drivers etc. to make OR compatible and just give the devs free hand if they want to use it, absolute no pressure completly optional.
And pls not a different OR version which not work on PC xD

Using it standing up actually works better for me so far than sitting, at least in VR/games which simulate you as a standing person.
