From the FBI presser, they have no idea what suspect 1 did. They just know Suspect 2 left a bag, hung around and then left alone after the blast (which seems to be supported by this photo). This last part is speculation* on my part, but I believe they discovered Suspect 1 by going through earlier video, finding Suspect 2 and seeing who he was with. So, if that is indeed Suspect 1 it could be significant new info for the fbi. Where is this pic from though? Was it not submitted originally?
*actually, I'm pretty sure they said as much, but I'm going off memory

I won't say definitely to everything, but that seems pretty likely the same guy.
Actually, I feel he looks a lot like him. (White guy of Irish Descent here, so TIFWIW) That's pretty much the only thing they are going on, otherwise it would never have been brought up.

I did some 'putting one on top of the other' and shifting in and out of opacity but couldn't get a good image where they would both appear sort of thing; the features really fit. The chin, the ears, the nose. Am 90% sure if the new picture had him turning we'd see that forehead too.
Really is young though.

Another thing is the guy is missing since the end of March, has a shaved head. The guy in the FBI picture has hair. Can't have grown this fast, unless it's a wig (unlikely).

I think there is a big difference betweeen discussing the pictures of this event and trying to track down who the people are based on similar looks, recent cases from unrelated sources. I mean, I think the guy looks pretty similar but why drag them into this?
