Has even the smallest of connections been ruled out about a Drive Club/GT hook up?

I just feel at the PS4 meeting I found it slightly odd that Evo made a point of how insanely detailed the cars are. If it is a more arcade/social game why give GT such a hard time?

Probably nothing though.

I got bored/hyped:

I hope the Egoista is in GT6.

Jordan at GT Planet just posted:

Just so everyone knows, there has been a slight change of plans, and Sony will not be providing an official live video stream of the Gran Turismo 15th Anniversary event. Official video will be released after it has concluded.

:( But he will be blogging it live for us.

EDIT: Beaten :(

The cockpit design is amazing

The only negative is the awful color choice that they chose. I'm starting to like Lambo designs after seeing this and the Veneno. I just love how ridiculous the designs are.

That's the only negative?...

Are you sure lol.

Well, for me it's the only negative. :p I like the crazy design of everything. It's obviously one of those love or hate designs since it's just so out there. But i'm on the love side just like with the Veneno.

Just now i watched the teaser in a big screen. People are crazy, some shots are clearly CG, there's no question. It's a mash up with real images, old CG and new CG.

The breakdowns on Youtube suck, but there's no need for that to realize a few details.

Also, Gran Turismo will hurt Driveclub no matter what.

If it releases on PS3, at around the same time, it still messes up Evolution's game, because more people wait on the PS4 and with a lesser install base, there's less people to buy Driveclub.

Also, even if the fans don't care, if GT6 is PS3 and Forza 5 is Infinity bound, then things will get ugly in the media, and this badmouthing does affect the franchise.

That is not crazy design that is just ugly design same as Aventador and Reventon lambos.

Style without substance looking for being proud where engineering is what makes car proud even if it is naked.

I hope Sony removing the live stream doesn't mean we'll just get trailers from the event.

I'd like to see the presentation in full if possible.

I don't think that there ever was a livestream. It seems like people misread what Sony was saying. I think the livestream speculation came from this

At the event Kazunori Yamauchi will also be making some exciting announcements about the future of the brand. Activities will be covered live right here on PlayStation Blog and also via gran-turismo.com and Twitter (#15YearsOfGT).

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/05/08/celebrating-15-years-of-gran-turismo/

They're just talking about a liveblog there instead of a full livestream. I wouldn't be surprised to see the full presentation, or at least the GT6 parts uploaded to GTTV.

I wouldn't mind some sort of ultimate ps3 edition, don't really care if it's a numbered sequel or not. It could be the GT5 Epilogue, doesn't matter.

Beef up the car and track list, a separate career to take advantage of those, call it a day. Think about it, a great car roster(something GT5 never had) and A-spec that's not stuck with all of those get from the last spot to first in x number of laps... good times. Throw in some new special events, I'm all set.

It would make the wait for a from the ground up, fundamentally rebuilt ps4 GT tolerable.

So agree with that. Steady 60fps all along... no matter what. I HATE frames drops and tearing... ugly, terrible, catastrophic, worst thing that could happen to GT.

Ps 4 isn't going to make this any easier. Might as well expect disappointments...and if it's still on ps3? yeah.

I don't think a 1-off car should be on the cover of anything.

They should get an actual production car, something that at last has a few examples. I like some Lambo designs but I think it's incredibly stupid to make a single car.

Why does there have to be more than one example of a car for it to be shown on the cover?

It's not 'The Real Production Car Simulator'...

GT has made great choices with their boxart in the past. No reason to assume they will all of a sudden just latch onto some crazy design for no reason. I thought the choice of the SLS AMG on the GT5 box was great. So distinct and the car itself it a nice blend of power and design. Going for something like a Lambo or Ferrari would be a disappointment. They say nothing other than, look at me I'm shallow imo.

Well considering GT has never had either a Ferrari or Lambo on the cover it wouldn't be so bad. Plus SolidSnake would probably comatose if a Lambo was revealed as the cover car. :p

La Ferrrari and the P1 sharing the cover could be cool. Besides being 2 of the fastest cars in the pipe right now, they represent a lot of new tech that could translate well to Gran Turismo. Revamped aerodynamics, the KERS mechanic, it would be interesting.

If they want something more conventional, I would wait. There's nothing really striking aesthetically and brand new like the Ford GT was.

Meh, i prefer my games with less nonsense like the paintjob system, that was just stupid to me, same as many other design choices that i hope they fix. To be honest that whole article seems like a rationalization exercise, he must dislike other GT games because the didnt had most of these "mad genius" choices.

I want GT6 as free from these weird choices as possible, with a good paintshop, a good vinnyl editor, fast organized menus, non optional license tests and with fixed engine sound, better AI and more premium car.

ps: Lamborghini Egoista is really ugly, too bad, they did such a good job with the Gallardo SuperLeggera and Murcielago SV and Aventador, now they are just creating horrible cars :(

I have a feeling that the lighting in this game is going to be so good that it will look close to a Next Gen game even on PS3.

Lighting is already next gen.

I think the trick going forward is creating an easier solution. I'm sure PD's method is quite complicated.

Well there's 221 Premium Cars in GT5 (excluding DLC), so hopefully that means at least 300 premium cars for GT6.

Personally iam hoping for around 400, presuming of course we dont get the usual PD bullshit of 25 almost identical variants of each Japanese car. Give me those, a livery editor and more in depth car tuning and I will be happy.

In terms of tracks, I want weather and day night on all of them but iam not bothered if there are any new ones, I like the track selection as it is.

After that I doubt we will get much more then very slight AI, physics and graphics tweaks.

I think I had 90 premium cars in my garage after playing for 200 hours so I don't really care about the count if all the important cars are available.
