Fighting Games Weekly is the weekly discussion thread for all things fighting games. News, events, streams, videos, players, drama, everything fighting game related.

Don't know what to watch right now? Check the FGCPros Twitch Group or Jaxel's Stream Viewer. If you want to watch multiple streams at once, you can use Jaxel's customizable multiviewer as well.

I have to finish this outline for a presentation I'm doing on fighting games tomorrow. I get to finish it off with the Daigo parry video. #esports

So say I get a PM from someone asking me to put their weekly show in OP. The person has as close to no posts on GAF as can be without having exactly no posts, and the show isn't featuring any prominent FGC members. Should I oblige and put it in OP anyways to help out someone trying to build some momentum for their product, or should I let them build their momentum themselves without creating a precedent where anyone can get a GAF account, PM me and get some space in the OP for something people might not watch?

A dilemma I currently have, and I'm leaning towards the latter ATM.

This is how I feel about it. If your trying to promo your stuff, you should post about it here and let the people decide.

It's just odd because there's no set criteria for what does/doesn't get into the OP but I do get a lot of PMs, most I go through with because they're from reputable GAFers and they're special events.

Related note: the OP really needs a scrub again. I don't know how much of this stuff even exists anymore or if anyone watches it.

most of you probably already saw this but here it is anyway.


I for one am happy that we'll have international comp again. It's been too long and tournaments aren't nearly as interesting without them.

a vetting process is the best answer. I don't think you should list just anything that gets brought your way. There has to be discretion involved.

I always figure AE will be the main tournament at most of the majors, in a way it makes sense to me. Well, at the very least when there's international competition out-- especially if there's international competition making it out.

And this just reminded and saddened me that I won't be around to watch CEO =\

FYI Enzo, I think we're streaming the PNW Road to Evo finals on that Friday if anyone is hankering for a bit of Marvel and AE action then. It's not technically a part of Northwest Majors but it's something for that we do as a part of that weekend. Winners get a trip to Evo paid for, as I recall.

anybody here run sf4 on pc? would like to get some more practice outside of weeklies. I've been playing rose, but thinking about a tier whore side character. It's between makoto, adon, fei, and sakura. Obviously sakura/fei would be the better choices, but I do like makoto and adon. I think overall im leaning towards makoto.

Most of the people who post in the SSF4 community thread have the game for PC. Feel free to ask for games there. People will ask for games there too.

Y'all are going to have to help me out on some of these I don't watch anymore:

Is Kachitagari TV still going?

Is Winner Stays On dead or just relocated? (kinda confused as to what's going on in the UK scene in general)

Is Cross Counter Live still going or is the VxG sponsored season over?

The last Game Spot Versus KoF Casuals broadcast was back in April, is it dead? Game Spot Versus Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost Casuals and Game Spot Versus SSFIIX Casuals & 3on3 Tournament don't have anything even further back, so those two will probably get removed.

Is Starbase Arcade functionally dead ATM? They said it would return in some form or another but there's nothing I see in the IPW past broadcasts. I'm not even sure if Starbase was closed down or not, I think it was but they said the events would live on elsewhere. No Mercy Fridays/Saturday Night Snapback/Real Honest Sundays were also at Starbase and have no archives for over 6 months as well.

Is The Breakdown with DJ Huoshen and Unkn0wn dead? There isn't a recorded broadcast to be found in the past 6 months on either YT or Twitch. (Probably removing this too)

Thursday Night Vampire Savior Ranbats' link was misspelled and led to a a potentially harmful site.. but all this says is nobody watched or at least clicked the link for that since it went up.

What are the current lineups for both WNF and TRB? Does TRB still run P4A, does WNF still run TTT2, etc.

Does SRK Live still do Thursday Night Throwdown? No recent archives on either Twitch or YT.. (probably will remove this).

There hasn't been a Rokrew Arena recorded broadcast on Twitch or YT in over 7 months.. do they still stream them?

No archives for any Electric Wind God Fridays for over 6 months.. do they still happen or did Aris just take a break and come back to focus on only ATP LIVE?

EDIT: RE: Busaiku, vulva and Shouta, I'll update OP with those soon, probably tomorrow because I don't feel like formatting/researching right now.

There are usually a ton of awesome events I come across when wading through SRK, but they either A) don't provide the stream link or B) don't have one and I have to leave them out. Unfortunately, if it isn't streamed, I can't put it in OP.

WSO is dead since they can't find a new venue.

CCTVLive is on twitch on gootecks' usual channel. They switched it up in order to keep the show alive.

WNF, TRB Is still the same. There's a P4a sidestream with something cross????

EWGF is dead. It's usually just mando doing a friday casual stream with iebattlegrounds or a 3s/ST tournament.
