Xbox Live “Ultimate Game Sale” Preview

For those of you considering ditching your physical copies for these, here's the GameStop Trade Values for the physical versions of these games as of 7/01/13. These are base values and do not include any bonuses like the 10% Powerup Rewards bonus or any of the other various promotions going on.

That's very helpful, dude. Thanks.

Finally bit on Max Payne 3 after seeing it on sale several times over between Amazon and Steam. heh

Never played PDZ, know of its reputation, but still tempted to spend the $3 on it just because it's conjuring up nostalgia for the 360 launch.

Anyone recommended X360 version of Crysis? I'm thinking of buying.

The Crysis 1 controls on 360 works like Crysis 2/3 on 360. The suit abilities are integrated into the controls instead of manually changing suit modes like in the original PC version. So instead of toggling into strength mode and then punching someone, throwing an object, or jumping high, you just hold the associated button to preform a power version of that action. Same with Speed. Stealth and armor modes have dedicated buttons, I believe.

This may seem worse to some, but I prefer it this way.

I may consider it actually if it's like that.

Man, there's a lot of games I'd actually kinda want to double dip on, but I think I'd rather keep it to those that are distinct in some way on 360, namely games that lacked controller support on PC. So something like Prey's not worth it, Crysis 1 handled it terribly, and DA:O is absolutely a kb/m game but it may be worth seeing just how it handled with a controller. Then there's Divinity II, that's straight up an action RPG designed partially with consoles in mind, but they kind of took the Bioware approach of not putting controller options into PC anyway, which I can better understand from their point of view versus Bioware that went primarily to consoles.

Perfect Dark 0 was awful and a huge disappointment when I got my console in January of 06.

Just bought it again. What is wrong with me?

When you bring a price point low enough madness can take hold. "I can buy Duke Nukem Forever for $1? Ahahaha WELL WHY THE FUCK NOT ALWAYS BET ON DUKE."

Seems that only holds steady in the US. Outside it seems to be an insane free for all. No wonder they're dumping MSP.

I'm ecstatic at the idea of using dollars now.

At least with MSP you can get deals on ebay and that $99 becomes like '$65'. All changing to dollars does is further ensure i won't buy a Xbone 80.

Yeah, they're horribly US focused. Not that Sony and Nintendo don't have similar issues, but it seems to go to a more absurd extreme with Microsoft. Probably because whenever they get exclusive stuff for home regions they don't waste time trying to push them at E3 or whatever.

Fuck I just bought a bunch of games I'll probably never play.

C&C
Crysis
Prey
Bulletstorm

and Divinity if it ever drops in Australia. Hell, pretty much anything for $5, that's only 320 points down here and I still have heaps of cheap points on my account.

Bought Prey and Crysis. I beat Prey back when it released, but I figured for $3... why not buy it and play again. Sales are good.

Hell, I beat Gears Judgment when it came out, but if the sale is good, I might get some more MP on. $5 games are hard to pass up on.

If you have an HDTV with 120Hz, make sure to turn the 120Hz off playing Crysis. The frame-rate is horrible. With it disabled, the stutter is nowhere near as bad.

If you have a TV with 120hz, make sure to turn it off at all times because its shit, ruins the look of movies and games, and adds input lag.

To reiterate : Divinity II is a must if like euro open-world RPGs like Risen, The Witcher, etc.

Also, how's Brothers in Arms?

IGN scored it a 4.8 out of 10, stating "I can’t recommend the Xbox 360 version of this product to anyone." [18] However, in the review of The Dragon Knight Saga, another IGN reviewer stated "If you haven't touched Divinity II at all and you enjoy action-RPGs, you won't be disappointed with the Xbox 360 version."[19]
Huh. :|

Maybe I'll get Brothers In Arms, I waited for it to show up in the last Steam sales but it never did.

Nope. Love the look. It just isn't good for games with shit frame-rates. And the input lag is fine for me in BF3 MP.

Uh, Divinity II got a 7.5 from IGN? It's the way superior Developer's Cut btw. Tons more content.
Oh, right right, I thought it was a review of the full game, not different versions.

Not disputing the game is bad or not, but the 4.8 when looking at the Wiki struck me as odd. :p

The upgraded version runs wayyyy better on 360 than the original. Not to say there isn't some trademark jank in there, but it's practically like night and day.

Grabbed Crysis. Nearly grabbed Dragon Age Origins, but I hesitated since this was one of the cases as I recall where the PS3 version was better, and so in the end I'll just wait and see if that gets a PSN deal or whatever. Crysis is the opposite though, so definitely that on 360.

BL2 is only $10? Jeeps, I'm going to have to pick that up hard. I feel this bodes well for the prices of Infinite and Rising, the two I'm looking for the most. Oh yes.

Still showing up as 2400 MSP in Mexico in the website, but the console hasn't refreshed the price yet. It's $7.50 and I already have it in PS3.

WHY DO I WANT TO DOUBLE DIP.

When I click on Borderlands 2 for $9.99, it comes up $39.99 still on the console and even on the Microsoft site? Maybe have to wait?

Man they should just sell these games for $5 since the Xbox One is releasing soon, and these are just digital dl's, all they have to do is make more cd key generators. They save lot's of money by not having to manufacture dvd's, game cases and manuals.
