Haha, I just mean I feel like there are too many lines and like, I dunno, it looks like they have ripples where the body normally shouldn't?

Been so long since I had any, though, can't really be sure.

Well we need more Ripple Users dude in order to Stand a chance.

Detective Conan 240:
Being Takagi is suffering. He shouldn't have gone along with Yumi's hair brained scheme, and now he's caught up in a weird case, too. At least he gets to spend some extra time with Satou, though. Their interactions are always great. Beginning of the episode was also great with Kazuha and Kogorou reacting to Ran's call. Kogorou is very unsubtle in everything he does. The whole newspaper bit was amazing.

We've gone back in time.

Mmm, aprons.
I FIGURED IT OUT

Show this to your lady friends. When they go crazy for it, they no longer can be upset for the K-Ons and DoReMis you watch

Feels like I'm watching one of those commercials at the beginning of Metal Gear Solid 4.

War. War has changed.

Ojamajo Doremi 27

It begins with new eyecatches and perverted old men, and filming woes with Hazuki's old man, all saved from despair
and the lack of a cursed item. Curses old man worm thing. Doremi is self aware to the point that she thinks Cursed items are the reason why she has no luck. Oh Doremi, nothing is gonna stop you from being thrown under a bus.

Happy Birthday to Hattori!

Hope you have a good day.
And I hope you definitely had that good day people here wished for, Hattori! I couldn't make it in time. :-(

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the Confederation Cup curse, Brasil !! Brasil !!
I know, I know... a few people here mentioned it as some kind of poor consolation for us. I was just following the lead of Regulus Tera comment about Germany's team.

Also, congratulations! España was steamrolled, rightfully so with that unstoppable passion Brasil did indeed put on display (both players and spectators). :)

Actually, I'd say that where you're at is actually the end of the second arc with one big, long arc to go.
Yep, although actually director Hiroyuki Imaishi has before described the span from episode 23 up until the end of the series as a 4th narrative arc (http://animestyle.jp/2013/05/31/5136/), in all this well 'staged' and Mr. Nakashima's penned "hero's journey".

Regarding Gurren-Lagann in general, I just wanted to just say that I'm glad CSakuraS keeps giving us so much good information about this series for all these years since it was aired, be it in her old LiveJournal (http://csakuras.livejournal.com/‎), or now tumblr (http://csakuras.tumblr.com/) or twitter (https://twitter.com/CSakuraS) or wherever... much appreciated!

Best series never licensed.
That statement depends on where you live in, but there's always the online shops with international shipping available to make up for that:

Dennou Coil Complete Box Set - Siren Visual

I'd actually prefer the DYNIT s.r.l., option; if you live in Europe and know a bit of Italian you might want to consider it:

Denno Coil - The Complete Series (Eps 01-26) (4 Dvd) - Anime

I knew that livejournal was familiar. I used to read her all the time back in the day.

Keika Lee has come back recently to, by popular petition, talk a little more about her time of internship at Kyoto Animation:

Updated my Vita wallpaper. Can't wait for more tanks in the future.

Not a fan of vita but thats a great background!
Yeah, it is. To everyone wanting to know the source of that illustration; it was made by EXCEL, member of 'dōjin' circle Gewalt (from which I still hope to see more translated works, moreover after the notoriety their merchandising for that recent self-publishing event obtained):

And what do you obtain when mixing excellent running animation with excellent background animation? Something like this:

作画おもたせ - YouTube

I just wanted an excuse to post in full one of Norio Matsumoto's solo works, this one on You're Under Arrest episode 39... he should "invade" the production of more series, what a legend.

Good times, good times! It wouldn't be the same for the foreign fans without all her contributions.

Oh, yeah... I forgot about that one. How is the video quality? Anyone knows?

Those numbers are probably just a bit too low for any hope of a Muromi S2 :\
I don't see it that difficult for a series with this short episode run-time. And it also depends on what kind of production run the companies involved had planned... look at a recent example in Medaka Box, they wanted a promotion that had devised (as first rumors pointed out) two 'cours' as differentiated parts, plan which continued even after the sales of the first "season" were low and it didn't had much repercussion overall on the graphical novel sales as well.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad that GAINAX got away with that overpriced BD boxset.
It's not overpriced for what you actually get with it.
Agreed! It think it is a lot of good quality content, and really worth the price.

Yes, Gurren's mech designs are messy and awful to look at. They visually make zero sense at that makes them unpleasant for me to look at them. I don't like a singl mech in that show.
In my opinion, a streamlined and vivid design that fits the sympathetic grunt Beastmen perfectly (like in a strange demon masquerade that humans should be afraid of but actually makes them more curious), but that also in their charismatic and recognizable appearance (which totally mirrors the sentiments of the pilot) they change and end up representing the passion and growth of the later humans that use them. I definitely think those are fantastic characters, because at least they sure show a differentiated personality and that is, I think, a key trait on a 'mecha' design.

Finally, the Haganai anime I've always wanted.
wonzo, you aren't contractually obliged to suffer this much, you know? :-(

1982 was the bestttt
1986 here! Sadly, a year that many remember for the Chernobyl disaster thing (although atmospheric contamination problems derived from it didn't actually reach Spain, everyone was panicking over what was happening and, most of all, what could happen everywhere in the future).

Aww, I hate being lttp. Now every 2007 joke has already been made and Kamina glasses are probably no longer retro hipster trendy.
But all this talk about invoking Kamina's spirit and the fantastic year for Japanese animation that was 2007, but no one made a mention of Mr. Nakashima's other breakthrough of the year, the adaptation of Oh! Edo Rocket, that had its own Kamina impersonator!
I still remember some that said they dropped Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann after episode 8 who were gushing over those cameos...

Defence mechanism after that horrible Kill La Kill PV. :(
What can be so horrible about 30 seconds from a TV commercial with so little actual footage on it?

Kino's Journey 8

I really enjoyed this episode.
It was a change in perspective by centering the narrative around Nimya rather than Kino, and the bird in flight was able in inspire yet another person. The country exemplified isolationism and the homogenization of culture, treating Nimya's desired craft and contributions with disdain. What's interesting is that they treat foreign things like that, yet they celebrate travelers like Kino when they enter the country. They seem to be only interested in sharing their own culture rather than learn Kino's, which furthers this notion. But in all of this, Nimya continues to pursue her dream. And that's what made this episode so special, because it touched on the resilience of the human spirit. It also addressed themes like companionship and understanding. Nimya's fiance, her future life-partner, makes no attempt to understand her or even support her, whereas a total stranger like Kino ends up inspiring and assisting her. Nimya makes it clear that Kino and Hermes were integral to the success of her flight. I guess it's clear that, with the right mentality, anyone is capable of helping another human being and making something incredible, almost resembling "magic."

Zettai Bouei Leviathan - 12

Let's see : drama , plots , sudden revelations , dream manipulation , a big cliffanger and syrop hungry .

This means ... that this was a decent episode.

Zettai%20Bouei%20Leviathan%20-%2012.jpg

Yeaaah let's have breakfast at the rich girl home !

AFTER 12 episodes the aquafall defense force is nearly complete , but things happens ..

Leviathan let her brother dictate her priorities , so much that i'm thinking that she is manipulated. And bahamut, while confident find the truth about her familly.
This information is quite important because it would explain why our main bad guys are taking so much steps in order to show the girls the right path to take.

It's highly probable All 3 girls have the same background, now

Anyway i can pretty much guess how the last episode will unfold , and unless a giant twist at the end , i'm gonna enjoy it.

Samurai Champloo - Episode 8+9

Episode 7 I loved the beatboxing background music samurai, and also the backstory for Jin. While it wasn't a complete backstory it at least gave a little bit of Jin's past.

Episode 8 was amazing Mugen has got to be my favorite character in this show so far. He started tripping once the grass burned, I just love how random this show can be at times.

Tried to make a gif about it, but I think the video version is better.

World's smallest cat.
From the very outset Free! feels tawdry. Brandishing a garish color scheme and an invasive soundtrack from the word "go" the series immediately goes to work on being grating. Character proportions are bad on their own, but when they are at odds with the backgrounds time and time again the production feels rushed.

Pointless backstory is halfheartedly established, but the story itself lacks any backbone. Giant chunks of information more pertinent to the current day are absent, making the continuous flashbacks to a time further back, far removed, and irrelevant all that much more confusing. Most every scene feels as though it were created in isolation, often relying on some sort of lousy hook to or titillate or play into the expectation for fanservice.

At its core Free! is little more than exploitative trash, but nothing here is even very fun. In spite of their perplexingly chiseled bodies the cast of Free! isn't strong enough to carry the production. Each and every character seem to have a knack for being obnoxious, and with each being so incredibly one dimensional I found myself being constantly pestered by their single characteristic over and over again.

Yeah, regardless of the characters all being the wrong gender, this is definitely a KyoAni show. It's fun to watch, the characters are entertaining and have good chemistry, the animation (while not top KyoAni standard by any means) is good. I think I'll be sticking with this one.

Haru seems to be basically Oreki, except his skill is swimming instead of deduction and his weakness is water instead of Chitanda. He wears his swimming trunks everywhere and strips down to them at a moment's notice, so, uh...insert UPPER BODY here.

Makoto is the cool big-bro type who's not-so-secretly a big softy (he's terrified of ghosts). He's laid-back and friendly and seems like a pleasant enough character.

Nagisa is the young-looking, full-of-far-too-much-energy one. In the flashback intro, he seemed about as masculine as Hirasawa Yui. Shota-tastic much? He also goes
skinny-dipping
in this episode, because oh isn't that so wacky. By wacky what I mean is vaguely disturbing. Please don't do that again. I like characters who are full of energy though, so he doesn't annoy me. Much.

And finally we have Rin, who is the Designated Rival, and thus has to be too-cool-for-school, disdainful towards everyone and everything, and single-mindedly focused on his ambitions. He's pretty good at the whole badass thing, because he has goddamn shark's teeth. Seriously. He could tear your skin to shreds in one bite, I swear. I wouldn't put it past him either.

Oh, there's also a female character in this show, who is called Gou. Get it? It's a masculine name, to contrast with the male characters' feminine names? Oh isn't that so wacky. She claims that people call her Kou, which she prefers, which means that nobody will call her that ever.

Score: UPPER BODY/10

EDIT: Wow, two wildly contrasting reviews right next to each other. Isn't that something.

German Tanks are a lot harder to come by than you'd think though. For example the number of Tiger Is that are still operable is in the single digits. But props should be easy to get, usually based on old US tanks. Especially in California.
Here in continental Europe there are so many Soviet T-34 variants thrown around that they are the sure option for such kind of modifications for props.

I hope you like 380p anime.
But, but, that app is also for iPad (old one)... why?

Anime of the season, clearly!

You know,
Chihayafuru also started with a flashback and we know how that turned out!

But seriously, like Kimi to Boku, I just don't know how to react to watching guys in anime in a slice of life setting. It's like, you have expect them all to be moe uguu girls, especially because of some of the thing they do, but of course they go through great paints to show you that these are guys with wonderful abs. The Kyoani look doesn't help as well, but I'm sure that dissonance will be gone after a few more episodes.

Also, that dubstep. lol :wubwbuwub
