Another vote for Whisper of the Heart but of course you can't go wrong with any. I tend to rewatch Kiki's the most because the disney dub has Phil Hartman as a cat! Also watch the Cat Returns after whispers if you get the chance, not as good as the three listed but it features more cat! Ghibli cats are awesome.

- So far there's some narration and "have feels now" music which is understandable for 15 minute episodes. Because I like the show I'll just be in denial and see it as being direct rather than cheap.

Also, s1 transformation music might not be to everyone's taste, but R transformation music is certainly better than the dub.

Is the new Ghost in the Shell any good? I seriously don't want to waste my time if it's as bad as it looks.
Cant go wrong with Tsuritama or any show comparable to it.
I think its inline with average SAC episode quality, not any special.

It's obviously not on par with Oshii's films, but I thought it was solid. It certainly wasn't terrible.
I thought it was a bit better than than, but I'm not much of a fan of SAC.
Oh, me too.. I need to rewatch properly too, only watch here and there on animax back then, so I miss many episode.

Its similar to many eps in SAC (very textbook actually) those are terrible too then.

It's not really an adaptation considering Miyazaki was working on the film while working on the manga and the second chapter of the manga where the movie ends came after the film.

I already had to deal with my own version of it.
it made me a stronger person. I used to not be able to look people in the eyes or talk on a phone. But I never resented it or felt jealous of others. I just lived with it and accepted the challenge. Eventually grew out of it and became how I am now which is pretty much an extrovert. Ive always been aware of myself and accepted myself as is.
so while I shared some traits with Tomoko I never really was at a point where I could identify with how she is.

A lot of you guys would feel a lot more positive about Watamote if you thought of it as a coming of age story. The part establishing her issues before she overcomes things just might be really really really long.

On the plus side, it has decent action cuts here and there. And Moechikoma.
Also, not every episode of SAC was a winner so I'm okay with claiming some of those as pretty terrible too.
What hit me hard about Watamote is probably mangaka only making shit as hard as she can and yet its hit me.. so I got hit by shitty imagination, sucks..

Rebuild is utter shit compared to this. Was surprised how much was common with Eva, this is basically the live action Eva film we never wanted but should of. Oh and I was also wrong the the mechs. They look pretty cool after all especially the Japanese one lol.
