Haha yeah. I want to replay it for the story and characters but then I'm reminded of the gameplay.
As opposed to this game that's totally fantasy and has no grounding in reality? Going into a bar to meet women and treat them like dirt is a particularly realistic scenario. Much like going out onto the streets and shooting people of a certain ethnicity is a particularly realistic scenario.
The problem is that both games make it the goal to do such things and reward you for it.
But then again, this is coming from the guy named "vulva".

It's not even a relevant criticism imho, if a game conceals the fact that it has scantily clad women? Sure, write up a story, tell your users the truth. They have a right to know what they are purchasing. However I don't need to be beaten over the head about how "sexist" games like Dead or Alive or Dragon's Crown supposedly are. The developers are completely honest about what the product is and the sexual content within and if you dislike that, don't buy it. Pure and simple.
It reminds me of reviews that dwell on graphics when I can see them with my own eyes, the difference is when critics write about graphics they don't typically infer you're some type of backwater redneck for disagreeing with them.

I'm always amused at the people who fake disgust and outrage over a game's sexual content, yet they don't seem to think the rest of the game revolving solely about murdering and maiming other human beings as offensive. It's a highly fascinating look at modern society's obsession with preset agendas

You're misunderstanding the complaint about this mode. This mode rests on the premise that it's completely socially acceptable to undress (and imagine) the people you're attracted to - and that none of them have any issue with being imagined naked by a possible stranger. In real life, some people of course don't mind being imagined naked by other people, but for others it can be quite bothersome when others constantly undress them with their eyes. The issue in this game is the very definition of reducing other people to objects that this mode implicitly reproduces - the mode exists to stroke your dick/pussy.
So does he hate the game in general along with Gigolo mode? Or does he hate it purely because of a single additional mode? Frankly if it's not forced on the player I'm not sure what his beef is. Sexualization of women in games is another matter I'm not going to get into, Im just curious because I think Suda 51 produces amazing content and in almost all his games women are stand out visual pieces.

I obviously haven't played the game, but as described I'd say a game where you wordlessly stare at a woman's breasts until you can see through her clothes, and then figure out whether cash or flowers would best get her to sleep with you miiiiiight be a little different than "The Sims"

Alrighty then. I found the reason to justify the gameplay, really. Considering that the plot was made first and the gameplay was built around that, I don't blame suda or Mikami.
Again, suda had minor input in lollipop chainsaw and shadows of the damned. He wrote shadows as a Kafka esque game, but got overwritten by ea and had to settle for boner shit.

I'm definitely not offended by the mode but it does sound incredibly stupid and creepy. Lollipop Chainsaw and his Kinect game were both pretty terrible games though. Shadows of the Damned is probably the only game he's released that I find even tolerable. I didn't even like No More Heroes 1 or 2.
If we can accept mass amounts of violence within the context of 'its a video game', why the fuck can't we accept sex? Its an immature game mode, but who cares? Obviously they aren't expecting to sell the game to females with a mode like this, and that is their choice. To be offended by this is just silly.
