Just think, the consoles in those boxes have all of that horrible DRM in it right now, and it won't be removed until the launch day patch.

So that's the first Xbone off assembly line? Seems way too late. When did the PS4 start production?

Ew that box will NOT look appealing while shipping MS deff rushed this console just based on the cardboard (way too leightweight, probably cause a RCOD). Sticker looks like Ariel is there anything MS WON"T ruin with their own shitty standards? Probably sidewise because of the weight of the external powerbrick and needs its own pallet. Just one box? Probably entire EU shipment.

lol

I'd love to see the whole process from start to finish how they manufacture these things! I bet there's relief at MS today.

But I thought their unboxing video proved that they already have full retail boxes ready to go?! Nice landmark image, tho :)
That... Was never the purpose if the Unboxing video. Major Nelson said so himself, the video is just to show you how the system would be packed and what is included when you obtain your system in November. :/

Anyways, good to see production is going fine for them, wonder how long it takes to ship, a month is my guess? Full month of production and one month to ship?

54 consoles per pallet if each box has 2 consoles in it. The pallet holds a 3x3x3 box configuration, so 27 boxes per pallet. I wonder how long until we start seeing these in the backrooms of Walmarts and Targets.

Welp that's it all 36 pre orders are taken care of. I'm joking of course. I assume they will go in some sort of retail sleeve. Can't just be a brown box sitting on the shelf at walmart. lol

Lol those aren't the system boxes. There is probably two systems in those cases.

I wonder how long til we see these in the WILD

Knowing Microsoft, I'm sure that image went through months of red tape before he was approved in order to post it.

Being slightly facetious, but I'm sure that wasn't literally taken today.

7 minutes from the first one off the line to them all on pallets, wrapped and loaded onto the truck? That's efficiency for you. They'll have more of these than 360's LTD by Christmas.

It's hard to get a feel of how big that outer box is. Looks like it probably only holds two or three consoles.

If they are using standard size packing tape and pallets, it looks to me like it could be 3 per case easily. I don't think any more than that, and the box looks too big for only 2.

That is assuming they aren't using tons of packing materials inside.

All of them are in the Black retail box, you don't just ship systems in it's retail packaging unless you want it stolen. The cardboard box protects the packaging inside as well as covers what's actually being shipped.

I love seeing this type of stuff. Curious that we haven't seen any ps4's in assembly (unless I haven't search functioned yet)..
