Possibly to put a portable harddrive behind, and have it hidden? Would be more relevant if we could install games on it (which we can't), but could still be used for multimedia stuff I guess.
Maybe to run a controller charge cable, or other accessories from (for example I know a headset receiver I use on my PS3 needs to be plugged into USB, would be easier if there was a port on the back)?
That been said, I think it would be a nice addition, but not overly necessary. I can certainly live without it, and I can understand the need for keeping costs low.

Credibility is irrelevant when basic biases are involved. I never fail to be impressed at MS' PR machine. It is a well-oiled machine and nothing stops the train, not even the facts.

So the answer to people using your words against you is to give them more ammo?
All due respect to Albert (as I really do appreciate him or any other industry person posting here. It's what makes GAF special), but if part of his job is spreading the good word on Xbone, he's not doing himself any favors posting crap like "OUR ENGINEERS ARE THE BESTEST EVAR!" or "We INVENTED DirectX so obviously we win!"
Obviously those aren't direct quotes, but it's kind of the vibe people seem to be picking up from that little explosion he had that was linked to above.
