Net Worth: $65.70

Tuft of Ginger Pubic Hair to add 20 gross damage to a weapon.

Lmao!! Loving the little humorous details they've put into this game.

So far, it's really funny (Dat Matt&Trey sauce) and polished. I can't see how this game could possibly be bad.

Clearly a labor of love. I'm very excited for it.

I feel pretty terrible for Obsidian. This is sounded a lot like what they went through with Alpha Protocol where they spent all the time the publisher would allow them to work on the title for but continued to delay it. I mean what possible reason could there be for this delay?

It is delayed? Again?
Hopefully this will be the last one, but an Obsidian game being delayed for so long is probably a good thing. Their games are always so janky out of the box. With the extra time they've had to get this right, there should be no excuse for it not being polished to a mirror finish.

Also, that trailer is amazing. I can't believe people are complaining about it looking too "traditional". That's the absolute best thing about it. The "traditional" (J)RPG with turn-based combat is a dead genre outside of handhelds, and that makes me a sad panda. I'd have never predicted that a South Park game would be the thing to revive it though. It's almost as strange as that Lord of the Rings game which was a blatant rip-off of Final Fantasy X.

Not getting murdered by:

GTA 5
Assassin's Creed
Battlefield
Call of Duty
Killzone
Forza
Ryse
NBA 2k
Batman Origins
Fifa
PS4
XB1

Even with Titanfall a week or two later it's still a much more preferable date than early December.

This dropped off my radar because I figured it'd be terribad like most games based on movie/tv, but it sure snuck up and kicked me square in the nuts.

Definitely maybe going to buy it!

Ubisoft, why don't you take me to dinner? The only reason I ask is because I like to make sure I'm wined and dined before I get fucked.

Absolutely fucking amazing. This game is a day 1 for sure and will be my obsession. God DAMN Obsidian did major work on this.

Also, looks like it's rendering in 1080p? Looks just like the show in HD. Oh fuck yeah, PC... gonna be playing this at 2160p fo sho. Can't wait to see how crisp and clean the image quality is. God damn their renderer looks just like the show...

Well, at least it looks like PC release is simultaneous with the 360 and PS3 releases now. That makes it a little easier to wait.

They've already said that that March 2013 date was completely unrealistic (and was basically being pushed for such an early release because THQ needed to get games out & money rolling in) and would have resulted in Obsidian having to release an unfinished, rushed product. Ubisoft is actually giving them time to polish the game & finish it, unlike SEGA, Bethesda & LucasArts.

But I don't want to wait until March.

At least the chances of this being relatively bug free and a quality product have only gone up. I guess it is my most anticipated game of 2014 now.

Looks really good outside of how slow the battles look. Hopefully they improve the fonts and UI a bit too. That music was awesome though...

Looks awesome, they weren't kidding when they said combat was inspired by Paper Mario. Something did feel a bit "off" about it, I think its because there is no battle theme.

Turn based could be utilized to make challenging encounters where you could die on every turn, like SMTIV. This... doesn't look like that.

It looks slow and simple, but pretty darn fun. I look forward to playing it in 2018.

Probably because the player was highlighting all the different moves. Probably faster when you're playing.

Gotta love Obsidian fans, it's always the publisher. Can't wait to see people using the same excuse when this game releases, even with all the delays and yet a completely different publisher.

Theres one thing in common with Obsidian releases, and it's not the publisher.

Um it actually was the publisher though, they control the release of the game.

Lucasarts- Had agreed to give Obsidian an extension past holiday 2004 for Kotor 2, then out of nowhere cancelled that agreement and forced Obsidian to ship in Dec. 2004 (roughly a year after kotor 1 by the way). This resulted in the infamous "unfinished" ending and a lot of cut content that was planned for release thanks to the delay they were promised being pulled.

Sega- Out of nowhere they stopped funding Alpha Protocol once it was near completion and yet still delayed the game simply because they didn't like the original release date. The game went something like 7 months just sitting there not being improved or bug tested at all until it released in June 2010. Obsidian does share blame and they've admitted that they wasted a lot of time at the start of development not knowing how they wanted to make the game, but once they had settled in it was on Sega.

Zenimax/Bethesda- They were supposed to handle QA for New Vegas as most publishers do but seeing the state the game was in you'd wonder if they actually did anything to it. Plus it was made and released in only a year. Think about that, a full HD next gen open world game with the writing depth and deep RPG systems NV had...made and released in only 1 year. It's inconceivable nowadays. The game could have been delayed to work on bugs more but Zenimax chose not to do that.

Obsidian can only do so much as an independent developer who relies on the contracts they sign. Yeah they have had some time management issues in the past but many of the problems they've run into have been publisher related, stuff way out of their control. Now they've dealt with THQ dying and they're dealing with Matt and Trey's relentless perfectionism. I wouldn't be surprised if that's why this game is taking so long. It's not like the actual gameplay and RPG stuff looks really in depth or anything, which is what Obsidian is handling and I've already mentioned how they've released 2 of the best RPGs in recent history in only 1 year of development. So I really doubt all of these delays are on Obsidian.

Sucks that it's delayed AGAIN but damn does it look good in that gameplay video. I was really looking forward to finally playing it in December but I guess I'll just have to tough it out until March. I suppose it will give me something to do during the gap between Lightning Returns and Titanfall.

Those bard songs are hilarious though. Can't wait to see what Matt and Trey have cooked up for this over the course of a 20-40 hour game or however long it ends up being., The whole game is shaping up very well. Very impressed.

wow they did a great job this really feels like the show,,,, I genuinely want this game to do well, looks amazing. I am hoping the delay with game is because Matt and Trey are really trying to make this awesome,,, I just hope it doesn't get lost in the wave of next gen fever and other titles coming out at similar time...
