Ok, Xbox One has inferior graphics. Fact. As an Xbox One buyer, this kinda sucks but I still think it's the better console overall for my tastes, and that's ok. The hysteria is getting ridiculous. Exactly. It's fine. If you like the X1 still more power to you. Nothing wrong with preferring it.

What bothers me is people trying to argue what is just factually wrong and MS is included in this. 720p upscaled is not the same. The X1 is not as powerful. Doesn't mean MS is awful and you're purchase is worthless. I don't care which one you buy, but let's not pretend that math and facts aren't true.

In the entire lineup I can only give Forza 5 that title, really. Dead Rising looks kind of promising too, I guess?

This is what I'm wondering. You have another entry in a racing series, another entry in a wacky zombie series that never really exploded, a new fighter with barely any single player and a DLC roster, and...Ryse? It's just not quite the slam dunk lineup I've been hearing people talk about.

PS4 lineup isn't anything to write home about either, but I'm really looking forward to Killzone and the better multiplats.

Your posts have been kind of douchey in this thread. You should probably step outside for a little while or something and see if you need to reorganize your priorities in your life.

Here's what I take away from all this 1080p 900p 720p bullshit that's going on. I think the X1 is more powerful than this. I just think this is more a reflection that devs don't really care about hitting a 1080p native render because they don't think most gamers care. Whether or not it's true is yet to be seen. People have to remember they started developing these games way before any of this shit started, and I don't think most of the resolution wars are extending beyond hardcore gaming communities.

So why do they bother hitting 1080p on PS4 versions ? Why not just say fuckit, most gamers are as blind as bats in the dessert at midday so 720p for them all no matter the console ?

If you're buying an Xbox One for the various reasons one might choose to buy an Xbox One, I do think you will be content with the upgrade over last gen games offered by it. Most games are getting a resolution bump (BF4 and COD included) even when they're lower res than the PS4.

From that perspective, I totally get where you are coming from.

Where I get a bit annoyed is when people try to make out that the difference doesn't matter *to gameplay*. The PS4 plays Black Flag better than the Xbox One does if this is true. I hate when people try to make out that gameplay isn't effected by graphics. Ships off in the distance will be easier to identify on the PS4 version, for example...

but they'll still be easier to identify on Xbox One than they are on Xbox 360.

I was a bit bummed out that Sony weren't offering 3D in any of their first party titles at launch. So yeah.

yep. you know, I even have a friend that's buying the Xbox One, and I don't try and convince him otherwise, because he's a huge Dead Rising fan and is really excited about the TV functionality.

there are still totally legitimate reasons to buy the Xbox One, just as there are to buy the Wii U. Just as there were to buy a Wii last gen, or a PS3 or 360.

3 days ago I wanted to buy a new satellite receiver and checked the net for what's good and what advantages higher priced sat-recivers have... I probably wouldn't mock anybody spending 500$ on a linux-box-receiver, hackable with blabliblub, but still... compared to the functionality of an xb1, it's product quality and also considering that it's the same price..., Mattrick's "overdelivering on value" almost makes sense again.

The ps4-vs-xb1 gifs are hilarious and we're all going for them, but I think most guys here at the core are actually pretty levelheaded and know that at the end we're all going to have fun with the same games on both consoles and the experience won't be different on any level that will matter in our future memories of those games. ...and uh... Gamers Unite!

You're getting ahead of yourself. Most people don't even have 1080p sets, and you're expecting them to buy into 4K so much that they're a relevant part o the market? Even when there's so little 4K content available? Come on.

It's a 7 year battle of which they haven't even started the fight... there's a lot of things we have yet to see, mainly exclusives and how, (even MS stated this), a stronger stance on getting more and better exclusives.
