Big shipment of PS4 at Target today?

So why are you in a thread about ps4 availability?

Because I was weighing whether or not I wanted to buy one now. I want a PS4, I want one badly (and I'm an impulse buyer), but that post made me question why I need one now.

If you don't have a PC, Don't Starve is a lot of fun if you're into rogue like games.

I'll look into it. Thanks for the recommendation!

I've never seen a PS4 in a store, so easy to get....

Me neither.

Doesn't make the rest of it untrue. I wouldn't buy either console with their current line-ups, and I was burned on "potential" last gen.

Edit: I've been tempted to get a PS4 several times this winter, but when the only game I'd play on it is Resogun, I just can't justify it.

So Sony and MS shipped the same amount of consoles? That then means there are 1.2 million Xbox Ones in stores, not sold. Quite significant

World wide sales numbers how do they work.

I'm talking for where I live in canada. Both have been in stock fairly often and they sell out usually by closing or next day. If you check a few times a week for restock odds are someone will have them and you'll be able to get one without much trouble. Sure it's not casual walk in a buy yet but its not like the wii where its like a pack of cougars circling its prey as soon at it appears.

What I don't get about this argument is: are you gonna wait for games, or for a price drop? If it's games, you are likely to buy one before a price drop anyway and gain nothing from the wait. If it's a price drop, the games are irrelevant.

Then you should have said this:

Ps4 and Xbox one are not that hard to get a hold of at this point. Stores are getting stock often enough that you can find them in store or online if you casually check now and then.

Microsoft is shipping xbones more often in Canada where i reside, so they are easier to come by but the must have rush of the holiday season is dying out.

I personally don't understand the desperate need to have one with the software line ups being lackluster especially on the ps4. But I guess just being able to tell your friends is enough for some people.

Don't patronize me with your Insane Clown Posse lyric when you did not properly explain your claim, which is just a claim, as you have no fact to back it up.

Well I could do other things with the money for now. There are plenty of current gen PS3 games coming out and 3DS/Vita games as well. If I had money to buy whatever I wanted whenever I want, then I guess it would be irrelevant, but I like to hold myself to a budget.

The controller mainly.

This is the first time I've ever heard anything about this. Is this really a thing?

This is true for ps4 price wise. However by wiring maybe Sony will have resolved the hardware issues.

What's the price on those costco ps4? It says bonus second controller and ps+. It's not bundled outside the box so maybe costco is getting special units.

Why does Costco get so many ps4s and xones? Doesn't seem like a place to buy consoles.

They always put pallets out. Other stores keep the pallet in the back and put a few units on the shelf, that's the only difference. Costco is extremely busy so it makes sense that they have large amounts.

Holy shit, these are the first images of in-stock PS4's since launch.

Don't forget about Yurop with your new shipments, Sony!

You should narrow it down where you're in Canada because in Toronto Xbox One's haven't been hard to find at all since december and has been readily available in stores after Christmas. PS4's have been sold out everywhere for a while. You can go on bestbuy or futureshop's website right now and buy an xbox one right now and could for weeks.

Ditto London, Kingston, Thunderbay, St. Thomas and Hamilton, all of which I've been to over the past few weeks.

Ontario is not selling out of Xbox Ones. At all. Period. They're in every Best Buy, Futureshop, Walmart and Gamestop you see. At least, that's been my experience since launch day

Did a stock inquiry on our district, there's 5 listed across 10 stores and I'd put good money on most of those being inventory errors.

If there's a big shipment going out, we've not seen it yet

What a load of rubbish. Ps4s have been hard to find in Canada. I live there to so yea, your statement is wrong. My friends have been trying to get one for a while but no dice.

Hope the UK follows suit.. I have never seen any high street store with any in display stock here. I managed to finally get one (non bundle) for myself a few days ago (yay) from watching a uk stock tracking website and collecting myself delivered from the stores warehouse. They had them for about a day. Bundles are easier to get than individual consoles which have been exceptionally hard to get.

i agree

4 - 5 people i work with that live in vancouver have basically given up on getting one until they are readily available in stores. preorders are back to feb/march even on amazon

xbox ones as mentioned you can buy at any FS or BB (hell you can buy online)

my local target and wal mart is sold out of both and has been since early december

Got a huge shipment last Sunday here in the UK, ~80 unbundled PS4 SKUs. Starting from £459 as part of our in-store deals, of course. hollaholla

We're down to about 40 left, they're already dwarfed by the green xbone obelisk in the store room. They've been available for free-sale for weeks now.

Yep, PS4 still constantly sold out at almost every retailer in Canada, both in store and online.

I'm assuming you work at GAME from this post, I can't believe they've been selling at £459+

Pretty sure if you shop around you could get a PS4 and a second hand Vita for that price....

Was Canada Xbox-land last gen? I always assumed MS dominated the whole anglosphere with the 360, but I've been reading posts here recently which contradict that.

Saw my first ps4 in the wild in our local WalMart yesterday. They had 1 behind the glass. They had 6 xbones and one was a day one edition.

Not sure, it probably leaned more towards Xbox, but I don't think it was anything like the ratio in the U.S.

They come with 2 new games, 2 blurays and a starter kit (docking station, stand, headset). Obviously there's some room for negotiation, but that's at the discretion of the manager.

But yes, it's pretty wild that it's outselling the xbone at a higher price. Makes you wonder if 349 was overkill on their part...

This sounds like bullshit, and after reading other people's comments, it makes me wonder why you'd feel compelled to tell a lie about something so silly.
