Booted up KH2 from disc with the internal resolution of 18000p* (DX11 hardware enabled and FXAA). Looks great and runs at 60fps.
*I set the internal resolution to 1800p, but screenshots with FRAPS only come out at 1080p for some reason.

You get playable framerates with 18.000p? You must be rocking like 40 sli'd titans! In other news, still haven't gone back to see if I can make this damn emulator stable with any game at all, perhaps one day.

Did you install the DS4 to Xinput wrapper/set up the pcsx2 controller plugin options? Mine works fine.

Anywhere were i can find how to do that? I got the DS4 working for all my PC games with the DS4 to Xinput, but PSCSX is the only one where it doesn't seems to work :<

Edit: Nevermind.

Did you check the Xinput box in the Lilypad settings and then map the controls?

I mapped them, but for some reason it seems that either i or the pc didn't saved after i mapped them. I checked again and they were empty. I facepalmed myself hard xDU

Lol it still has the bug in Xenosaga where it crashes to PS2 OS when you try and save at the second available Save spot. There are more that it did this with as well later in the game. Surprise no save for you.

How would you legally get a BIOS? I know you need to own the game, but don't know anything more than that.

I've got the urge to play through the SOCOM franchise again but don't have a PS2..and I don't even have a TV anyway and since my monitor only has DVI/HDMI/VGA, buying a PS2 isn't an option either.

Oh man, really? I was considering going through the whole Xeno line of games soon, and I knew a few years ago Xenosaga was pretty spotty in emulator.

Guess it still is?

Hmm, set it to 1080p, and (according to a tutorial) turned off native and set it to 2x.

In DX9 mode... Using a 7950 with a Phenom II X4 @ 3.6ghz. Everything is still jaggy and blurry.

Anyone have an easy crash course they can link me to? I can't find any configs for either my card or CPU and the tutorials I find talk about loading custom dlls or plugins etc.

I just want to run whatever comes with pcxs2 and get the best results I can, and all of the jargon and settings I don't understand make it difficult.

At 1080p, you'll probably need to go higher than 2x native to get a nice downsampled picture. Also, there are some things like 2D UI elements that'll always be blurry because they have a fixed resolution and don't get scaled up like 3D stuff.

If you dont use any speedhacks you can use save states reliably. I would savestate b4 every save spot in fear of this happening. Otherwise I was able to play the entire series on this emulator. The A.W.G.S sections used to have slowdown on my PC and that seems fixed. The crazy shadows on the ground seem to be fixed in 2 and 3. 3 is pretty close to perfect now other than a few lines around UI elements from upscaling. Played natively those issues would not exist.

4.Gradius V does not work at all it just stays at a black screen Any fix for this?(Ripped with ImgBurn 2 years ago) Actually I will re-rip with Power Iso unless someone has a better tool?
Probably an issue with your side unless it's a new problem. Gradius V worked 100% on older versions.

The Persona patches should have HUD fixes in them unless they regulated them to cheats.

.Hack//G.U. still has some haloing around characters sadly.

Does your .Hack game sometimes squash the picture and make it go off the right hand side and stay like that? If not may I ask your settings.

Has anyone run Transformers Armada with this? What's the performance like?

That and SOTC were my 2 favourite PS2 games, and both looked crap on my 60GB PS3 due to interlacing.

And this game is one that will never get a HD upgrade, so I'd love a way to be able to keep playing this game.

Well, I guess I won't be replaying Kya: Dark Lineage anytime soon. Graphical glitches everywhere and software mode slows down to a crawl. Bummer....

Yeah I fixed it, the speedhack MTVU makes the game hang, apparently I have to be careful enabling it with some games, it even says when you hover over it....I feel like a dumbass.

Thanks man.

I thought I remembered reading something about the widescreen mode in FF12 actually cut off some of the image. Would it be better to use the hack for that game?

I guess I could just test it out myself...lol.

Would not be surprised if it does. But I don't believe the menus scale with the wide screen hack in 4:3 mode.

Though I saw a random post elsewhere that said they had the game running (but slow), I tried running Transformers Armada via the game disc, and also as an ISO that I ripped with ImgBurn. No dice for me, at least with the current version of PCSX2 and the latest SVN version.

The menus and intro movies ran fine, but the game locks up the emulator after attempting to load the first level. It did this in both hardware and software rendering modes. I didn't mess around with any settings, so it may be possible that it'll run with some effort beyond the default emulator settings.

edit: spoke too soon! Under speed hacks, you need to turn off "MTVU (Multi-Threaded microVU1)". The emulator won't hang and the game loads the first level. However, it runs really slow (less than 30 fps) in both hardware and software rendering modes. Looks nice at 3x native res, though. =)

I'm using a 360 controller, is there a way to use it directly? I manually set up each button but the left analog is messed up now lol.

I am using Windows 8.1 and when I try to install it locks up the PC. Anyone with 8.1 get this to work?

Radiata Stories looks great so far, tried to set 6x Native Res and I guess my PC isn't fast enough for that. Couldn't even do 4x. Still great though. I should finally finish FF12 and Ar Tonelico 1 & 2 now. :)

Slow as in how it ran before, or slow as in worse? Its emulating actual hardware, so performance will be the same for something like SOTC that maxed out the hardware already.

If you mean the game is acting weird, SOTC had an issue with setting some slider (VU something?) too high causing a slow-motion bug.

This is the first time I'm running the emulator. It's not slow like it's frames are being choppy, it's like the entire game is running in slow motion like bullet time.

I see all this hype for Persona 4 Golden on Vita. Is it worth it for me to buy persona 4 on ps2 and play it through this? Good game? Would be my first persona game or smt or whatever.

FF12 looks pretty good, just gotta figure out the controller thing lol.

EDIT: Figured it out, missed the down control!

Thanks for the response. Sounds like it could be worth setting up, and playing around with various settings to see if the fps can be improved.
