People WANT FF7R, though.

I'm sure whatever Marvel 4 that Capcom would cook up would have people bitching about how UMvC3 was killed too early and that it deserved another year at Evo.

And that they made it too easy compared to the infinite depth and skill that was required to play Marvel 3 at the highest level.

The only thing FF7R and a new Darkstalkers would have in common is that they'll both be ruined by a company that is incapable of replicating anything that made the originals great.

Capcom Cup is in two weeks, if anybody else wants to do the thread, please volunteer now. Otherwise, I'm going to start digging for profiles for each player.

Capcom Pro Tour Asian Finals ended. All the spots for Capcom Cup are finally decided.

Capcom Cup 32 spots:

Won Premier Tournament: (10 players)

Infiltration (Final Round, NCR, EVO) (1670 global points)
Tokido (CEO, SEAM) (1048 global points)
Nuckledu (Canada Cup, Red Bull Battle Grounds [CPT NA Finals]) (869 global points)
Xiao Hai (G League, SCR) (804 global points)
Gamerbee (Japan Cup, EGX) (732 global points)
Daigo Umehara (EU CPT Regional Finals) (563 global points)
Phenom (Dreamhack Summer) (546 global points)
Momochi (Stunfest) (524 global points)
Mago (CPT Asia Regional Finals) (426 global points)
DR Ray (LA CPT Regional Finals) (88 global points)

With Infiltration, Tokido, Xiao Hai, Nuckledu and Gamerbee winning multiple premier tournaments, it opens up 6 more spots to the Global Rankings.

Qualification via Global Spot: (14 at the moment)

Justin Wong (984 global points)
Fuudo (804 global points)
MOV (600 global points)
Julio Fuentes (548 global points)
Xian (520 global points)
Haitani (492 global points)
Eita (482 global points)
Luffy (455 global points)
Go1 (414 global points)
FChamp (400 global points)
CCL (397 global points )
Chris T (384 global points)
Mister Crimson (361 global points)
Kazunoko (349 global points)

Outside looking in on global points:

Yukadon (346 global points)
KBrad (332 points)

Mago won the Capcom Pro Tour Asian Regional Finals, so that bumps up Kazunoko to a global spot. So the final point total that a player needed was 347 global points to make it to Capcom Cup.

Participates qualify via global spots before Regional ranking spots:

Qualification via regions: (8 spots)

Asia: Sako (137 Asia points), Tse4444 (132 Asia points),

Outside looking in: Yukadon (90 Asia points)

With Kazunoko grabbing the last global spot, that moves Sako to first, and Tse4444 to 2nd. Tse4444 skipped the CPT Asian Regional Finals, and it paid off since he didn't have to do anything to secure his spot. Yukadon, who was at CPT Asian Finals, went 0-2. So a guy who got 3rd at EVO is offically out of Capcom Cup.

Europe: Problem X (218 Europe Points), Ryan Hart (143 Europe points)

Latin America: Brolynho (305 LA points), Misterio (203 LA points)

Outside looking in: KBrad (196 LA points)

Misterio was able to get the 2 points he needed at TRETA to pass KBrad. He gets the 2nd spot, and KBrad needs to win the CPT LA Finals in order to qualify for Capcom Cup. However, the TO of Treta says that Misterio has visa problems and may not be able to travel to Capcom Cup. If that is true, then KBrad gets the 2nd LA spot.

With DR Ray winning CPT LA Finals, and KBrad finishes 2nd, KBrad has to hope that Misterio can't go.

North America: Ricky Ortiz (247 NA points), XsK_Samurai (202 NA points).

Outside looking in: Chris T (190 NA points), John Takeuchi (144 NA points)

-----
32 spots decided, 0 spots left.

It's nice that the graphs are getting more evened up, I think that was one of their goals was to get more representatives from other areas and it seems to have worked. Though I wonder what changes will be made next year, since people try to earn more points in other regions and have some place like Latin America take that hit.

RZR - Infiltration: Nash, Rog, Rashid, Vega
DR - Ray: Vega
BST - Daigo Umerhara: Ryu
Tokido: Ryu
Liquid - NuckleDu: Mika, Guile, Nash
Qanba Douyu - Xiao Hai: Cammy
ZOWIE - GamerBee: Necalli
BX3.TP-Link - Phenom: Necalli, Bison
EG - Momochi: Ken
EG - Justin Wong: Karin
RZR - Fuudo: Mika
MOV: Chun Li
FOX - Julio Fuentes: Ken
RZR - Xian: FANG, Ibuki
YOUDEAL MJS - Haitani: Necalli
HM - Eita: Ken
RB - Luffy: Mika
Mago: Karin
HM - Go1: Chun Li
PG - Filipino Champ: Dahlsim
AWS - CCL: Chun Li
DNL - Chris Tatarian: Ken
MD - Mister Crimson: Dahlsim, Laura
GGP - Kazunoko: Cammy
HORI - Sako: Chun Li
PxP - Problem X: Alex, Birdie
Ryan Hart: Ken, Guile
EG - Ricki Ortiz: Chun Li
MC - XsK_Samurai: Ryu
SOA - Brolynho: Necalli
Brook - Misterio / EG - K-brad: Karin / Cammy
Tse4444: Chun Li

Chun: 6
Ken: 5
Necalli: 4
Mika: 3
Ryu: 3
Cammy: 2, 3 if K-Brad makes it
Karin: 2, 3 if Misterio makes it
Dahlsim: 2
Vega: 2
Guile: 2
Nash: 2
Alex: 1
Laura: 1
FANG: 1
Rashid: 1
Balrog: 1
Bison: 1
Ibuki: 1
Birdie: 1

Bison is kind of a disparate pick for Phenom, doubt we'd see him. Xian's Ibuki is possible if he runs into a Cammy. Infiltration's Rashid/Rog/Vega, Problem X's Birdie, Ryan Hart's Guile and Mr Crimson's Laura are real subs. Doubt we'd see Du's Nash again though, Mika/Guile complement each others nicely.

The Bison is half a character at best.

RIP Ibuki, Juri, Birdie and Zangief though.

Gief better get that Green Hand in Season 2.

Yea, should probably take him out, and forgot about Xian's Ibuki and Problem X's Birdie, we're more likely to see those than Bison.

Are they going to announce the season 2 changes at capcup?

God, I hope so. Here's what I think will happen: Capcom reveals big mechanical changes for Season 2, maybe new V-Triggers for each character, or something like that. They'll also tease some characters changes in a short trailer. A list of individual character changes will be revealed over time, but not at the show.

If Capcom wants to get gutsy, then maybe they'll reveal the names of every new character coming in Season 2, complete with black silhouettes, like the original 6 DLC for Season 1.

Seeing the amount of folks saying they want TVC 2 after MVC4 was confirmed not a thing made me super happy. Its good to see folks looking back in hindsight to realise what a gem was passed by too quickly.

TVC is incredible. I hope to see it at several tournies again this year like last year, and I would love to see folks melee it someday and bring it back to more venues and prominence. A sequel is unlikely but it warms me to see sooooooo many saying it'd more than make them happy to see it as the next thing.

Real talk though...it wouldn't just be Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.

If you did TOEI vs Capcom you'd get Kamen Rider, Super Sentai and Toei Animation which is like DBZ, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, Cyborg 009, Captain Harlock, Cutey Honey, Mazinger, Pretty Cure, Magical Doremi, Devilman, Hell Teacher Nube, Digimon, Kinnikuman, Zatchbell, Toriko, YuGiOh, Tigermask W, Bobobobobobobobobo, Dr Slump...and dozens of crazier stuff on top of that!

You'd have so much source material you'd be overrun with it. You'd might even want to make assist attacks actual cameo stuff from other shows rather than calling your partner to do one of his own moves at that rate just to appeal to even more fanbases. Hell Super Sentai, Kamen Rider and all the other Toku stuff alone is more than one roster can take but throw in the Toei animation stuff...penultimate super list of characters to do a crossover title with any company as a fighter.

Luffy vs Seth
Ryu vs Kamen Rider Ichigo
Jedah vs Devilman
Viewtiful Joe vs Pretty Cure or Magical Doremi or Sailor moon cast lol
Megaman vs the girl from Dr Slump or Cyborg 009
Asura vs Gokaiger
Vergil vs Goku
Spencer vs Hell Teacher Nube
Date Masamune vs Saint Seiya dudes
Q vs Kikkaider

This shit just goes on forever. Needs to happen.

Here's your weekend JoJo:

Esidisi combo demonstration followed by matches against Jonathan.
http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html#http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm29551429

Esidisi is a 'Mode' character which means like in KOF he can send meter to enter a sort of 'Max Mode'. In this game there is Mode 1 and Mode 2. Mode 1 costs 25% of a bar of meter, and causes your meter to rapidly drain. You can ill gain meter, however, and keep mode 1 going. Mode 2 costs one full bar of meter, and is set to a hard timer. Activating 'Mode' giver your character a bunch of character wide buffs, with Mode 2 giving even more intense buffs. In Esidisi's case, all his attacks come out faster, recover faster, and do more damage. On top of that, being near Esidisi while he had Mode activated constantly turns your health into grey life, similar to Reptile's 'noctious' type in MKX.

Jonathan is a Hamon character. He can hold the 'style' button to constantly gain meter. He can also input special moves with e style button to do EX versions of those moves. Jonathan is a bit clunky and has not so great normals, but he hits like a truck and can rush you down by abusing super armor on his moves. He can also spend one bar of meter to set up a 'revive'. Once he does this, he will get back up off the ground after being KO'd, gain 25% health, and his super meter will be broken (can't roman cancel or do supers). In exchange for this, all of Jonathan's specials will come out as EX moves. So, he can still do his big damage combos after he revives.

Tekken 7 FR is very fun. Did a few matches in a Tokyo station and was crushed by everyone except for a bad Akuma.
Also played Third strike at acho and watched the Melty ranking. Didn't played any Xrd as I didn't have any money left that night.
