If a mod deleted a previous thread about this topic, that's obviously the wrong way to handle this issue. He's one of the most prominent members of the community in its long history and it should be known.
But that doesn't mean they were trying to cover for him. That's quite a leap to make.
i was using the neogaf search function and it gave me a different set of results saying nothing found.

Knee jerk delete is fine, stop overreacting. Mod team probably assumed it was a witch hunt and made a quick decision to delete the thread because if it was fake it could cause unnecessary and potentially irreversible damage to someone who may have been targeted for their past.

I sincerely hope no one is deleting stuff that could be pertinent to an investigation. I get that they're scared that he was using the site for this (this site has a definite appeal to kids) especially if he had mod privileges when he was doing this stuff, but deleting anything that's evidence is a terrible idea when a crime like this is involved.

Could taint the jury pool. By delete, I mean they have to remove it from the public internet. That's kind of implied by the second half which states handing over the data for his posts.
So i initially did a search to see the last time he posted, and it returned fine and he wasnt banned. Then i did another search after this thread and it said no results found. Now the results are back up and he is banned.
