From the investor's meeting

Nintendo’s new membership service will be called “Nintendo Account” — it will connect hardware users, as well as PC and smart device users, Mr. Kimishima says.
Nintendo will use a cloud-based data service to transfer game data between mobile games and console games.

Dont that second line confirm the NX is a hybrid where the console plays the same games as the handheld?

Hmm, I'm interested to see how Nintendo plans to leverage the cloud to connect their mobile and console products. What they're saying sounds different than just the cloud save storage you get with something like Playstation Plus or Steam.

Not really... it's could simply be a Chao Garden GBA style link between a mobile game and a console game.

I wonder if my NNID will roll into this or if you will have to create another new account and there is no link between them.

I mean like how PSN or XBL does it. Not the whole system transfer thing. You just sign in to your account and download your games.

That's not what you said though.

The problem with Nintendo's current setup is that you can only have one system active at a time per account and you have to contact Nintendo directly if you forget to transfer your ID before getting rid of a console.

It is assumed their new system will be more streamlined and user friendly.
