G/A/F: NeoNazi converts to Islam, NeoNazi friends don't like Islam, kills them.

Part of the "Atomwaffen" apparently. Unabashed neo-Nazi terrorists who recruit students at universities and idolize Islamic terrorists and terrorist attacks. Who knew you could have a group that idolizes Timothy McVeigh and Osama bin Laden.

At least he took a couple of Nazi scumbags with him.
Well it's political Islam and Nazi have been allied a few times through history. It's not unheard of.

I wonder if he was so dedicated to hating Islam he read and watched everything about it until he fell in love with every aspect of it.

update: his roommate was a Timothy McVeigh worshipper and building bombs in his garage

Officers found a garage stocked with bomb materials as they arrived to investigate the double homicide, leading to federal explosive charges against Brandon Russell — a Florida National Guardsman and admitted neo-Nazi who kept a framed photo of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh on his dresser.

Russell, 21, was the man Tampa police officers found crying outside his door Friday evening when murder suspect Devon Arthurs led them back to the apartment that the four had shared in an affluent suburb north of the University of South Florida.

While searching the garage, investigators found a cooler full of a white, cake-like explosive material known as HMTD, or hexamethylene tiperoxide diamine, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court. Nearby, they found explosive precursors — chemicals that can be mixed to create explosives — including potassium chlorate, potassium nitrate, nitro methane and more than a pound of ammonium nitrate in a package addressed to Russell.

Investigators also found electric matches and empty 5.56-caliber ammunition casings with fuses that could be used to detonate destructive devices once HMTD was added to the casings. The materials could be used to make a bomb, according to the complaint.

I feel like there's a lot of different jokes that could be made here but people were killed, maybe not great people, but people nonetheless.

I'll just state that the radicalization of white men in America (and probably around the world) is becoming ever more terrifying

There's so many parallel values and behavior patterns between violent extremists for any type of ideology, that the ideology in itself becomes rather superficial making it not so far-fetched that one could just switch over to keep getting their same fix of emotional highs. When you break it down to the fundamentals, it's just about a need to perpetuate a "us against them" narrative in order to get some misplaced meaning in their lives, and all their effort is spent on fanning the flames and provoke conflict in order to strengthen the narrative.

Obviously had nothing to do with islam (not saying anyone implies this).
This is "crazy person gets some crazy visions or is talked into something because he is weak to influence, then continues to be crazy"

Why do people just want to kill each other so much.

Everything about this story is bad but the outcome is probably better than it could have been I guess?

Spot on. The extremism comes from fear, frustration, and ignorance. The adherence to the ideology is about tribalism. Glom onto Neo Nazis so you can feel empowered by racial pride and what you perceive as righteous indignation; but switch teams when you realise your group is full of ignorant hicks and Radical Islam's organisation and focus appear more seductive.

Anything that will give you a sense of empowerment in a hostile world full of people trying to tear you down; even better if it feels like you can strike back against the rest of society with your new brethren.
