New Wii Action RPG from Jaleco: Kizuna

Action RPG
Jaleco/Winter 2008
- Main Character name is Rian
- There's a king call Gelade and a princess call Ayna
- Game's graphic will have a pencil effect to them
- More than 100 quests
- Accumulated gauge techniques can be used.
- Huge bosses, find the weak point by pointing the Wii remote on screen (Shadow of the Colossus?)
- Scenario: Miwa Shouda (FFXII, Saga Frontier, Little King's Story)
- Director/Programmer: Youichi Kawaguchi (DQVIII, Little King's Story)

Looks really nice, you all can find the scans easily.

alright, i'm sorry, old joke i know. anyway, source? i know you were quoting 2chan earlier, and with how much i trust them, well, i'd hate for this to show up on a bunch of naive sites as news when it turns out to be a bad hoax.

yeah, just found em. nvm. can't wait to see what else is in store this week, and if those 2chan rumors are true. i still don't trust em, but i can still hope :p

I was thinking the same. They must release very few games and have very few of them sell more than 10 copies, because I only see 4 games from them that made the Japanese charts at all from PS2 on. And three of those fell off the charts before hitting 10K. Though the one from 2008 might have by the time we get this year's Top 500.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
Youichi Kawaguchi is the name of the director/programmer, he's also working on Little King's Story and was a lead programmer on DQVIII.

Hmm. Google translates that as "Mr. Hirokazu Kawaguti", but I'm not finding a name much like that in the DQ VII credits. A Google search for 川口洋一氏 already has this thread as the #1 result, so I'm not thinking the other hits are full of hot data.

Oh. He's visibly credited for Dragon Quest VIII, though, as one of two main programmers.

Sounds interesting, but I'm about 50/50 on ARPGs generally, but I'll keep an eye on it. Will check out the scans when I get home.

Whoa that boss is huge. I thought it was just a bulky character until I saw the main hero on the same screen.

Looks great and sounds interesting so far. The boss fight really looks like something out of SotC. Reminds me of White Knight Story as well.

game looks awesome, while scans are low qualitiy, the graphics look like a mix between Rogue Galaxy and SotC, good stuff!

For Japan at least, and the release dates are all super near too. There is Yatterman Wii also for those who are interested.

Not Tatsu Vs Cap, its just a Yatterman game from Bandai Namco. They have one for the DS too.
