So in Good Ending we have whinny high schoolers who are afraid of confessing to each and in this manga we have a married couple where one side is afraid of doing it, or kissing for that matters. Funny how even marriage can't stop contrived reasons from advancing the romance plotline. I mean progress is being made, but it's so slow. In this volume, Chiwa finally started having real conversations with Hokuto during breakfast. So that's some progress I guess.

There was a lot of backstory and focus on Hokuto's family, but it all fell flat and felt forced. "oh let me take you to my mother's grave, that will show you how sentimental and cool I am" lol. And then there was the bad rich smug family business during their annual dinner. I really wish the manga would just forget all about Hokuto's side of the story and keep focusing on Chiwa cause she is clearly the only interesting character in the story so far.

This seems interesting.

But then when I google Image search I immediately spotted PERFECT SHOUJO MALE(tm) and immediately terminate all my intentions of reading it.

There's nothing more repulsive to me than PERFECT SHOUJO MALE(tm). One of the reasons I find it so hard to read through 7 Seeds too, despite some members here swearing by it.

Oh yeah, Hokuto is Mr. Perfect. He got all the ladies going crazy for him, he is rich, smart, handsome, charming, and with a mysterious and tragic past. He even saved, Chiwa, from danger twice like the true hero he is. Maybe if he saves her a third time, they will finally get to do it.

Kuroko no Basuke 206

Unlike Naruto, this flashback is still delivering. Akashi's talk, while harsh, provided some really good motivation for Kuroko. And it's always great to see everyone's initial expression whenever Kuroko revealed his passing prowess, especially since this was his first time doing it in a actual match.

It's funny how they gave him this stupid pot in the beginning of the chapter only to have it come useful at the end and probably end up saving the other dude's life.

The only manga that isn't One Piece that manages to have higher individual volume sales than Naruto is Kimi ni Todoke and even then, you still end up with 1-2 Naruto volumes that are higher than KnT.

Takemitsu Zamurai 51-60

Apologies for dumping whole pages as images, but these were just so damn good, especially the first two. I am not worthy, Taiyo Matsumoto. It's a gutsy move to use such an atypical style in a narrative piece, but it works out so well. Look at Kikuchi, the big guy in the first two images--he flows across the page like a shapeshifting mass of violence made manifest. These aren't money shots, either; basically every page has something that's incredible to look at.

I included the third image because it's one of Matsumoto's many lovely landscapes of Edo that you could blow up, put on your wall, and call fine art and nobody would bat an eye.

I'm at 50 right now and the fight scenes before were amazing. Hot blooded action indeed. It feels like the art focuses on the emotions rather than the physical body itself.

Ran and the Gray World 12-18.5

Jin and Sango make a really cute and charming couple, if only Ran wasn't so obsessed with that sleazebag Outarou. Good on Hibi for standing up to that piece of shit. I also didn't see that little twist at the end coming at all, she must have one hell of an interesting backstory.

It was hilarious to see him with this in the drama.

And to answer your question on the last page : fights are not that important in the drama. Obviously you'll see some action but since Ken doesn't really fight... Cooking is still the most important part.

I think he was just bragging about this eye's potential as opposed to actually having awakened them. Of course, if you want to complain about remembering the rules, the original rule was that not all Uchiha have them, which has already been retconned out.

I don't know about Rage Town but Air Gear really is nothing but Rule of Cool for 37 Volumes or something.
It never claims to be anything deeper or different.
It does that very well and that's all.
At least it has backgrounds (well drawn at that and on top of that it has actual variety in how the characters fight).

We know that strong emotions awaken the sharingan (since part 1 even!) so that makes sense.
