Why? The assets are all the same. Photomode is simply 1080p, loads of AA, and a dash of post-processing (motion blur, depth of field).I doubt it.

Has Arthur hinted at a coming Durano article or is it an expectation based on the leaks tide?
Proelite, who's been spot on with his predictions, is one of a bunch of forumers who hold that view. I have no reason to doubt his stance...
I don't think the Durango OS will be 3GB.... That is just stupidity on MS's part.
Why? Just the ram in the next gen systems alone is going to make life miserable for anyone hoping for a quick downport.these specs are far from the system destroyers that people were hoping for, so i don't get where the funny is in the image at all either. this should be a happy wii u.
It's a fun fact but I'm not sure how much bearing that has on what a manufacturer pays per unit to have their GPUs fabricated.Fun fact:
If I wanted to upgrade my gaming laptop with a 7970M right now, the card would cost me $480.
PS4 may have an edge over Xbox720 at 1080p due to the higher bandwidth though. Also, having a lighter OS and thus more CPU cores available for games may give another advantage to the PS4.

dusted so many BMW's and Porches with my turbo charged 92 Luda, so yeah I agree Sony customizing+ closed platform will lead to great things, cannot waitI hate when people say this. The part is totally modified. It will be similar in some ways, but drastically different in others. No one but Sony knows how different, but I would suspect the card is spec'd so deferred rendering and 60 FPS can truly shine.
Imagine buying a Civic, and putting on twin turbos - its not so much a Civic anymore now is it.

Fair points. You just have a different mindset about it. And honestly I would hate to feel like I can't play a current gen platform without feeling like I'm taking an enormous step back. That's a whole other point entirely, but for you to feel like a game like Uncharted 3 is a huge step back, you must have spent a great deal on your PC and/or got it pretty darn recently.

No, just no. It's a 7970M.
He has the right idea.

I've got a reasonably powerful PC (2500k, 8GB, 6950), and Uncharted 3 looked incredible to me. Some console games, as an overall package, look better than most PC games. Uncharted 3, Killzone 2/3, Halo 4, Gears Of War 3, God Of War 3 etc have all impressed me. Even Reisdent Evil 6 doesn't look bad. But the downfall of these games is the crappy IQ. 30FPS doesn't bother me as long as it's locked. No AA, AF and 720p however can make a game look worse than it actually is. So hopefully 1080p is mandatory next gen, because something as simple as resolution makes a big difference on screen.
Sweetvar26 said AMD felt the Durango was "more powerful".
That's the only thing that I have really. If Sweetvar26 didn't say that, my viewpoint would be different.
those that say that durango will be stronger know.probably.
But on 2006 hardware that cost $500?

Who is Sweetvar26?
OT Response: The term is called ego-involvement (as far as the social sciences are concerned). One can sympathize with such a position but one has no responsibility to alter posts or thoughts for the sake of preventing offense. Though, to note, not every joke is a canard.
this shit be real.
now excuse me while i brush the girls off my washboard abs and whirl my 3ft cock around a pool of uncharted 4 rumours.

Married to the eight-core processor, Orbis also features Radeon HD graphics hardware. We've previously suggested that AMD's mobile "Pitcairn" design - the Radeon 7970M - could be a strong basis for a next-gen console graphics core in terms of power consumption and die-size.
But other leakersaid that "hardcores would be dissapointed" in some aspects of Durango.

It means GT5's photomode can easily run real races on PS4... etc, etc.

By my calculations we're looking at 7.5 times the memory dedicated to games not to mention the fast GDDR5 bandwith.
Not bad.

I think "happy wii u" would have been more like Orbango being ps360 1.5.
One of the reasons why I don't think MS is going lightly on the hardware side, and how it translates into game performance is ShockingAlberto (who has been right before).
They are going batshit
They asked publishers and developers what they need in a next-gen system

If GT6 can't make it at or soon after launch, then i'll definitely take something similar in quality to the above movie. That's the only trailer that Polyphony has ever released that runs at 60fps.
Pro elite has been off before, and he's waffled around on specs so many times. Plus he allegedly works for Microsoft. I don't think he's the best objective source.
I really only believe in Sweetvar26 and two others that shall not be named.
Relative to the WiiU, they ABSOLUTELY are, I'm afraid!

I guess the real question is, what will the middleware engines like Unreal Engine 4 be more tuned towards - fast RAM or large bulks of it?
Yep, and Sony saw what MS is doing and followed suit.
Orbis could have end up being a 1.5 teraflop machine with 2GB of GDDR5 if MS didn't update their machine.
Both Sony and MS fans should send cupcakes to Dice, Crytek, Epic, etc. We lucked out.
Hasn't the most common complaint by devs this gen regarding console limitations been about RAM?they're modest specs. there's no way that nintendo was unprepared for this. i don't know about the RAM. it's definitely the biggest difference, and i can imagine it would be next to impossible to port if all the RAM was used in critical ways, but i have a hard time believing that it will be.
You may want to sit down...
Am I right in assuming in some ways the CPU will be inferior to Cell, but with regard to gaming it may end up being better overall?
