I downloaded it from my Xbox One btw. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Unless they wrote a rule into the terms of service that say you can't purchase a game during a price error, then that ban would be bullshit.

How would everyone know it's an "obvious mistake?" Games go on legitimately free promotions on many online services these days.

They would have no right to ban anyone, only to revoke licenses due to an error.

Really? Companies seem to either eat these sales or cancel the orders/revoke the license if they can.

I had like $3 and some change on my MS balance so maybe that's how i got past it? I never, ever store my CC on xbox or PSN i just add PSN/XBOX cards.

You keep it. Licenses are only checked (after you've opened the game prior) when you go back online.
