47 games in the released part, 60 games in the future part. We are having many, many oddball games no one has ever heard of this month, specifically IGF entries due to Wok and Hofmann scouring their database.
We will also have a vote on the best games of the month in the last week of the thread. The results for june can be seen below. For some first time readers that wonder about my definition of "recent": We didnt have any major Indie thread in 2012 on GAF, so we are also catching all the titles that slipped through our net last year. Anyway, have fun with the games from this month!

Hey! I assume you are new in this thread series and want to see what we were up to? Or you didnt have enough time to play through all of the games from the last month but still want to catch up with the best ones? Then this list is for YOU! These were the games we enjoyed the most in the previous thread, voted on by the community (More thorough descriptions and impressions in the previous thread, especially the last few pages with the voting):

I noticed there are a few noteworthy, and relatively unknown, projects that deserve a shoutout here because I feel that they share a common interest with the people in this thread. I talked to the guy from Pixabyte and MetaVendetta and both are very enthusiastic about the things they love and figured you might appreciate the shoutout as well. If you enjoy anything here or want to give feedback, let these guys know via their websites or also here in this thread. If you appreciate something, let people know. A heads up can sometimes very valuable.
This is a monthly podcast series that presents notable Indie Game soundtracks. A likeable host and guests, a fantastic track selection, interesting discussions and a focus for Indies will make this one a mainstay in my monthly threads.

SUPERHOT (13 votes) - Free (PC, Browser)
http://superhotgame.com/
The world's first first-person time-moves-only-when-you-move shooter*. To explain it simply, it's The Matrix meets Hotline Miami meets a little bit of Braid. You can just stop moving in the middle of the room, look around, see where the enemies are and then decide on the best course of action.

MirrorMoon EP (11 votes) - $9,99 (PC, Mac, Linux)
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=670441
My god, it's full of planets! Much like Outer Wilds, a true space exploration game but here the locations and mechanics constantly switch on you. There's just surprise after surprise lurking around each dark side of the moon. I was sold after the KRZ cameo, there's so much visual wonder. One of the most dizzyingly brilliant FPSs I've ever played.

Full Bore (9 votes) - $8 for the first part (second is free after you purchased the first, release later this year) (PC, Linux)
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=689201
2D puzzle game that reminds me a bit of Catherine with its focus on nimbleness and using blocks to create paths. If you are looking for a world ripe for exploration, stacks and stacks of puzzles, beautiful pixel art, and a catchy soundtrack; Full Bore is that game.

Volgarr the Viking (6 votes) - $11,99 (PC)
http://store.steampowered.com/app/247240/
The 1-permanent-save-per-world design can be quite harsh, but in here lies one of the purest 2D action platformers around. If you're itching for a game that requires block-by-block precision, this game scratches it. Also, easily the best Viking game yet.

Naya's Quest (5 Votes) - Free (PC, Browser)

Indie Echochrome is about right, this has some real head-spinning puzzles and it can be quite challenging if you make just the wrong direction press.

Impulse (4 Votes) - Free (PC)

Picture a mash-up of Super Meat Boy and Lunar Lander. Or N+ meets Asteroids. That’s Impulse. The premise is simple. You need to guide your craft to the exit point of each level, avoiding the various obstacles and bad guys.
