It's also their first in-game trailer. Most of the footage is taken straight from replays. At least it's honesti thought that trailer was terrible. PD usually kills it with trailers/intros with great music that matches. not so much this time around. and the visuals...ehhh...yeah i know its youtube, but i was really unimpressed =/
From what I can tell by watching the trailer, it looks EXACTLY like GT6. Performs just as bad too it seems, with all that aliasing going on. GT is so fucking dead to me.
Congrats to all the photo nerds out there though, because photo mode is the only thing that looks good in this game. Laughable to say the least.
To Sony I say sell PD and buy Codemasters.
Scapes mode = ultimate car porn mode
amateur hour. Polyphony are done.
How much longer will we have to wait for TT2?
All of the replay angles were awful too. What the hell happened.
It literally looked like they got some unedited replay footage and chucked it in. Weird crashes and camera angles.

They should've just rehashed this trailer and called it a day
Yeah. What was that. Some B-roll footage of the game lol
Maybe a proper trailer at E3 or later in the evening?
They consistently do this with new listings. They'll list at at the US price before adjusting it to the Canadian price later. Odds are it's a price error, jump on it if you want to go digital.
Personally I'm hoping for another Amazon E3 30% off deal and that's when I'll pre-order it. I want a physical copy.
Not impressed with the visuals, looks like the updated tracks (Nurburgring, etc) received a GT6 Suzuka style upgrade but were held back for GT6 PS4
Have Polyphony got a new video editor? The last two trailers have been absolute shite.
Where is this from?
Yeah, I ordered 'No Man's Sky' thanks to a similar glitch.
Anyways, Pre-ordered.
I wanna hear from a guy that also plays iRacing, Assetto Corsa and rFactor, if the handling / tyre and suspension model has improved judging from the force feedback ...and how much and in what direction.
If some people with a lot experience from other sims say that it feels great and much improved over GT6, I could probably(maybe) forget about the sound.
One of the worst GT trailers ever. Leaving name tags over GT replay footage, lol.
PD really can't win, what you see right there has to be one of the most honest trailers I have ever seen. In effect PD said fuck it and uploaded a replay video directly from the PS4 so that people don't claim "bullshot", but apparently now it's too real.
Yeh the driving model and how much flexibility you have in setting up races to your liking will make or break this for me. If they could somehow marry Forza and PCars they would have a perfect racing game IMO.

But where do you get the good handling and force feedback from then? pCARS still feels crappy in 85% of the cars to me no matter what force feedback tweaks I try. Forza never had sophisticated feedback that "felt" good (it's very functional in the sense of "feedback to make you drive better" way though). The ISI sims (rF2, R3E, AMS) have the FFB feel I want (never tried iRacing though).

PD showing an early build with a bunch of placeholders in their trailer?
vs
Some wheel company should get together with wheelstand pro or playseat or whoever to make something that remembers your preferred position (like "CLICK!") and can easily be folded away with wheel and pedals on it.Don't talk to me about FFB. I haven't had a wheel since I moved country a couple of years ago. It's been almost 3 years and I'm still trying to convince my wife that it won't be an eyesore in our relatively small apartment .
Perhaps it's because we've been spoilt by the splendour of Forza Motorsport, already into its second iteration on Xbox One, or Assetto Corsa, which is about to make its console debut later this summer. Gran Turismo Sport, however, looks, sounds and plays just like Gran Turismo 6 on the Playstation 3.

If it takes more than 2 minutes and can't be put in a broom closet, it just doesn't cut it. No idea, why these companies don't get it.
Sorry for derailing. I'll stop.

While you may not notice the level of detail in the cars and tracks while driving in normal gameplay, you will see it in replays and in Photo mode where you can study the images up close.
Photomode never changed anything besides image quality in previus games... and even if it starts swapping model now, that would be too drastic.Quite interesting. Both screens are from the Nurburgring, both between Wehrseifen and Hohe Acht.
When I looked at the first one I thought, ok, the scale of the Nordschleife exacts it's toll, but the second one looks right out of another game. Maybe photo mode?
Oh my word....

It's not a photolocation Nurb. It was taken from here where they talked about light and graphics.
http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gtsport/graphics/
The photolocation Nurb has more realistic and abundant grass. In the other pic the grass is pretty gamey and too tall.
It think it looks great for a console game. The trees on Nurburgring impressed me...
These trees?
Honestly, what has PD been doing for three years, exactly?
