No, not confirmed at all. He gave himself a target to the end of the next fiscal year. If he does actually resign, which I don't believe likely, it's at least a year out.

Anyway, i'm super hyped for that Direct. There hasn't been one for like 2 months, right? If there won't be a japanese one, then at least we an hope for some localisations!
O and please offer me the Oracle Zelda's. I'd buy them for a high price.

Agreed. I'm doubtful on MH4 and Pokemon though. Plus they will mention Fire Emblem: Awakening (and free DLC?), which is released two days later. This would not be a disappointment

3DS has a lot of "announced" or "released only in Japan" titles. I'd be HUGELY happy "just" with release dates for PAL market.
Why would they need to confirm it? Nintendo is already releasing the season 2 DLC.

My bad. But yeah, a lot of those games being shown would be great. I just like to remind people that Nintendo does enjoy dedicating a lot of time to shit we already know or have seen before. Even when there's surprises.
Like, they could spend 15 minutes talking about how to dig holes in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, then 14 minutes worth of Donkey Kong 3DS footage showing identical levels to the Wii version. And then finish with a minute long sizzle reel announcing Zelda 3DS, Metroid Dread, Half-Life 3, and Mirror's Edge 2.

That said, I'm still excited. I don't think any really big titles will show up, those will be kept for E3, or a Direct around that time.
There should be some nice announcements though, I'm expecting localizations.
Agreed - even though it seems insane that they put the quality of their software above the success of their console; but then again, software is their bread and butter
