The thing to me is...you can chart a middle ground.This will end up in disapointment, as has been with Nintendo E3 for years. Hell we even got a peek preview on that Pokemon direct.
Will never understand the way Nintendo handles reveals. Only Zelda was revealed long before launch Look at things like God of War or RDR2, they create expectation and the sense of a good future for the platform.
Nintendo clearly will have games January through June next year. Some of those could probably handle an up to a year hype cycle.
But still, the fear plaguing a lot of us is that Nintendo is going to hold too much of that too close to the chest.
Sure, they'll still exist either way and they'll still be announced but I just can't not believe Nintendo could say something about a good number of them. And if they did, maybe they'd have a good E3 without resorting to far flung games. (Although some of those games currently targeting that time period will perhaps be delayed).
And...maybe they will but again with Nintendo I can't simply expect them too.
