I actually feel differently than this. I see people talk about how there can't be a new Chrono game since the old team is gone. They all left the company and went on with their own pursuits. So is Square never to make a Chrono game again because their employees left?
I think they can and probably should. I want to see sequels to their older classics even if the original team is gone. It doesn't mean it will be automatic garbage if new people work on it.
Look at Star Wars. George Lucas is no longer involved. New directors and storytellers are taking it over and I think a lot of good things will come of it. The same can be for gaming sequels.
It's supposed to happen.
Pretty high actually. They've said they'll be announcing something at this E3 last year.
Wow! I hope it is Ni no Kuni 2 but I think it will be Dragon Quest XI. :/
Maybe if we're lucky we'll get a Chrono sequel on the 3DS. No way they'll invest the time/money on anything next-gen.
I wouldn't even mind a Chrono Cross 3DS port at this point. I have to be realistic with myself.

Is Tidux a legit insider? Because he teased Ni No Kuni 2 a while back, so did Thuway. No idea what their track record is though.
Tidux is considered a joke. He knows nothing as far as insider info goes.
Actually, it's probably neither.
We heard nothing of L5 working with Ghibli (and they've been doing less stuff lately too), and DQ will never get a western reveal, since that series gets their own event in Japan.
If I had to guess I'd say it's either something new like Rogue Galaxy/White Knight Chronicles, or a big Yokai Watch-type game.
Are you sure? I searched Dragon Quest XI and they say they want it to be a console game for 2016. Could they really be trying to make "an epic game that exceeds the scale of White Knight Chronicles" along with a mainline console Dragon Quest game?
Rogue Galaxy and DQVIII were developped ar the same time. So did DQIX and White Knight Chronicles.
I'm pretty sure they have 2 HD teams on top of their numerous handheld/mobile teams.
And for all we know DQ could be developped internally by S-E or by another company (Artepiazza?)
No one knows if he is still at SE anymore. What the hell is Hiroyuki Ito doing? He is not sitting on his ass.
No one knows if he is still at SE anymore.
This is now my second most hyped conference (Sony is first).
Around 2 years ago, Shinji Hashimoto said he was still at S-E and planning some stuff. I thunk that's the last we heard from him along with Guardian's Cross. No one knows if he is still at SE anymore.
What the hell is Hiroyuki Ito doing? He is not sitting on his ass.
I am praying that he is working on FF XVI in the shadows.
Don't worry, Ito is one of the people that WILL get news talking about him if he leaves. No one knows if he is still at SE anymore.
Stop. People need to get over this already.

Uh, Yuji Horii did the main writing on Chrono Trigger, didn't he? He's still around, although I wager he's busy working on Dragon Quest 11 at the moment... Ditto Akira Toriyama, although he's tied up with DB Super.
Video is pretty disproportionate to the possibilities for this show. Hurry up, Tuesday.
If something Chrono is not released after that song...I will be so pissed.
Do you think there is a chance of Dark Cloud 3 being announced? I know its very unlikely, but still...
We should hire a private detective in Japan to find out what is happening to him.

There's a long analysis floating around somewhere (GameFAQS, or an independent blog) from someone who believes exactly that. The main thrust of their argument is that Ito has hinted at ideas he has had for a game which is large in scope, and other high level SQEX employees have confirmed that Ito is working on something. That doesn't necessarily mean FFXVI (could be another IP), but given the relatively recent conversion of FFvXIII to FFXV, you have to imagine that SQEX was at least in the pre-production stage on what was originally intended to be FFXV but is now FFXVI.
Putting these thoughts together, it is easy to imagine that Ito is directing FFXVI as we speak, but I can't imagine SQEX confirming anything until it is closer to release.
Speaking of FFXV, I'm curious about the implications of the massive investment in its engine. They moved to Unreal for KH3, but I wonder if they will try to milk Luminous at all?

That's the power of really, really wishing something true, i fear.
The guy in question actually goes much further than just wishing; he routinely creates fake quotes and fake interview translations (really easy to do since a lot of Ultimania interviews have never been translated even decades later) in order to spread false information in the "hope" that Square Enix will react and release a real statement on Ito or the supposed FFXVI. He was banned from Wikipedia several times for this as well as general bias in overemphasizing Ito's importance and putting Kitase in a bad light.
It's a shame because there really is a mystery about Ito's current project(s).
