Yes you can, you can set it as the default installation storage, works really well

Does anyone know what the rules will be regarding unplugging the external? Since I sometimes need both ports on my og ps4 (e.g.,wireless headset and fightpad) I would like to know if you can unplug it while not in use at the homescreen or during rest mode.

It literally does nothing for those games, seeing as those both have Pro enabled features already.

Edit: assuming you're talking about Boost mode, that is.

Those are news games, and new games get optimized Pro support anyway.

Boost mode is a blanked support for old games that will not get Pro patch.

3D is essential for VR content though, otherwise your are just looking at a flat sphere which is not immersive at all. That's a whole different story.

A little earlier in this thread (just a few posts before yours) somebody confirmed you can take it between 2 PS4s if you sign in under the same account on both.
